this was when everyone thought Harden couldn't be the man on a team, and probably before they drafted Ross so that pick probably would have been in the deal as well. To say Gay isn't worth Val is silly, in a deal straight up Raptors would take that any day of the week lol

And I say that knowing full well Jonas is a big tune project that may not pan out. Gay is a ball stopping SF whose best trait (scoring) is something he does at a pretty mediocre level

Speaking on what the media made it out to be. Of course I knew he would be fine, but at this point Gay is far more valuable than Val, GMs dont trade based off of potential, they trade based off of what the players could give them now. I find a hard time believing if that was proposed to the Grizz that they wouldn't take it, not that the Grizz would offer it though. Based off what they need I dont think Val would fit what they were looking for anyway. I think they'd be more interested in Ross(who I think is more valuable than Val).

His percentages are down this year but I'm sure it's pretty safe to say it's because he's slumping a bit early in the season. He's proven he can score effectively in the 45-47% range. I dont think he'll continue to shoot low 40% all year, he's bound to get hot. Not to mention he's also a pretty good perimeter defender, something the raptors can use that they dont have, defense.

d'antoni needs a specialized group of players for his shit to work and it will never work with this group. Looking back, it was a bad hire but now they're kind of stuck. smh.
