after the game..
Rusty Simmons @rusty_SFChron Klay Thompson left his street clothes in his locker and drove away from Oracle Arena in his uniform. Guessing he's shooting FTs right now.

Klay and Landry both missed 2 FTs that probably wouldve won the game.

Dubs already have 2 losses that couldve easily been wins. When youre mediocre to bad you gotta take those.

Big game for my New Jersey Nets today. Don't want to drop below .500 especially against a bad team like Orlando.

A league source indicated late Sunday night that Jackson was "stunned" when the Lakers called to inform him they had chosen D'Antoni. He had been prepared to accept the job Monday if negotiations between his agent and the Lakers went well. Jackson's agent Todd Musberger had been scheduled to fly in to Los Angeles on Monday

yea, I really wanted Phil, but not w/ those demands. Mike D'antoni is a minor let down but it's much better than where we were a week ago.

I still think it is a mistake.
Honestly though what were his reported demands: -$10M/yr ---- he had that in his last stint -Miss some road games --- he had that in his last stint -Last say on basketball decisions (GMing) ---- he knows more basketball than the entire Laker FO.
The guy is in retirement. He is possibly the greatest basketball mind of all time. He has every right to make demands like that and if he doesn't get them, then he does not have to come out of retirement.

he only missed road games cause he had a team he had been with a couple seasons already and because he was coming off surgery. That isn't the case here, he just thought he had all the leverage for some reason.
He does not know more about basketball and evaluating talent than Mitch Kupchak does. He's a coach, not a talent evaluator. Stop it. He does not deserve the right to general manage the Lakers. He can kick rocks.
