PPG Differential
The Elite
1) Blazers 9.8
2) Celtics 8.3
3) Hornets 8.1
No surprises here the top 3 teams in point differential are currently the only teams winning more than 70% of their games. Although the best team in the League, the Trail Blazers are a very average 5-5 in their last 10. While the C's and Hornets are 9-1 in their last 10, it looks as though a change at the top is comming and quickly.
The Contenders
4) Rockets 6.4
5) Bulls 6.1
6) Spurs 5.6
7) 76ers 3.9
When it comes to overall season performance these 4 teams are amoung the best in the league. But when you take a look at recent events the Bulls and the 76ers seem to be carrying on with their winning ways sitting only 1 and 3 games back from the #1 seed in the East respectively. While the Rockets are looking average lately and the Spurs are playing sub par in the past 2 weeks.

A big surprise out of this group is the Toronto Raptors, so far they have the worst record out of any of these teams and currently hold the last playoff seed in the East. But as their Point Differential indicates don't take them lightly as they currently sit only 4 games back of having Home Court in the 1st round. But with that being said every team in this group seems to be just hovering around the .500 mark in their last 10 games which will need to be improved if any of these teams want to make a push for a title.

Two Surprising teams that made this group. Both the Nets and Bucks are currently in the basement of the Eastern Conference, but both teams currently are hovering close the even mark when it comes to point differential which usually indicates both squads are better than their record (still not good enough though to be feared). We are seeing a trend here that indicates the East is much stronger than the West.
The Forgettables
22) Mavs -3.1
23) Cavaliers -4.1
24) Clippers -4.2
25) Pistons -4.6
Even though the Cavs and Pistons are currently higher in the standings than a couple teams, their point differential shows that they won't be making a push unless changes come and fast. The Mavs and the Clippers still have a chance to make the playoffs in the West, but teams don't seem to have what it takes to get them to the next level.

All These teams are going to have to put in some serious work this off season if they want to be taken seriously.

1) Bulls 122.2
Currently siiting in 6th for point differential, the Bulls are an absolute force on offense. Leading the league feeding off of the incredible tandem of PG Marcus Smart and SG Da'Sean Butler who are both averaging more than 28 PPG.
2) Blazers 121.3
Portland currently owns the best record in BBS at 30-10, and the main reason for this is their dominant offensive output which has been led by a 3 headed monster AKA Dion Waiters 25.5 PPG | Jewel Lyons 23.2 PPG | Louis Williams 30.1 PPG. This team will be tough to knockout with 3 MAJOR offensive options.
3) Hornets 120.9
NWO has found their rhythm of late going 9-1, and a major reason is their 121 PPG. As a new beat writer for the BBS league I was blown away to see who was leading the charge offensively, none other than Quincy Acy with 32 PPG. WOW!
4) Spurs 120.7
San Antonio offense has been severly up and down of late causing them to go 4-6 in their last 10. They have had games ranging from 92 points vs the Suns to 143 points vs the Magic where they had 4 players put up 20+ points.
5) Rockets 119.2
Houston, along with the vast majority of all other Western teams has been floating around the .500 mark in their past 10 games. But with the 5th best Offense in the league the Rockets should be looking to move one of their 4 offensive beasts to bring in some defensive anchors.
