Centers
Berry Armentrout C 7'6" 350 20 B D F- B B+ B
Huge center from Georgetown that is probably close to peaking. Good inside touch for a man his size. Below average jumpshot, also doesn't great hands, might struggle with turnovers just a bit. Slow. Above average defender, should get around 2 bpg. Very good rebounder. Strong. Top 10 pick.
Frank Rossi C 6'11" 285 22 B- C+ C B- C+ B
Older player that is really just above average at everything. Think of someone like Egg Barlow but not as strong and a better shooter. Likes to take threes. Mediocre handles for a big. Not much of a stats defender, maybe 1 BPG if he gets time. Solid backup big type. Late first.
Stephon Baly C 7'1" 255 19 C D+ C B+ C+ B
Young, raw center who can only really block at this point, should average around 2.5 bpg. Struggles scoring in the paint, just doesn't have the post moves to be effective on offense. Sub-par FT shooter. OK handles. Good defensive rebounder. Good strength, but not great. Has potential but it's up in the air if he will ever be more than a one-trick pony.
Edmundo Kimbrough C 7'0" 245 21 B+ C- D- B- B A
Likely #1 pick. The only thing some GMs won't like is that he doesn't block shots, at all. His strengths cover up his glaring weakness however, he is an amazing inside scorer, very advanced for his age. Just a mediocre jumpshooter for a center. Good handles, elite stealing ability for a big. More advanced as a defensive rebounder than an offensive rebounder at this stage. Elite strength. Not much of an athlete. Very good upside. Should be a very good player.
Julian Jeanette C 6'11" 252 22 C C- D B- B- A
Raw center from Canada that really doesn't do a lot of things above average. He has a decent jumpshot and shot be able to stretch the floor some. Some big handling issues though, which really takes a lot of his intrigue. Isn't anything great on defense, average post defense. Not much of a stats defender. One redeeming feature is he is an elite offensive rebounder at this point in his career. Really a raw big how is a boom/bust player.
Power Forwards
Taylor DeBernardi PF 6'10" 235 19 B- A- C C- C A
Ratings speak for themselves with Taylor. He is an excellent, young outside big. His inside game is very refined at this point too. He is poor at everything on the defensive end, not a stats defender at all. Mediocre strength and just an average athlete. Big time potential as an offensive weapon off the bench though. Cannot start anywhere except SF/PF
Samuel Schmaltz PF 6'7" 200 18 B F+ C C+ C+ B
Undersized PF who should have probably opted for college instead of declaring for the draft. Really nothing stands out about his game except for his athleticism. Was able to jump over just about everyone in high school, monster athlete. Can't hit a FT. Poor handling ability. OK post defender but that's about it on the defensive end. Guy you draft if you just want to take a chance of him being able to develop into a good player.
Don Schoenfield PF 6'11" 215 22 C+ C+ C- C+ A C
Ratings don't really tell the story with Don. He should be a starter-type on several teams because he is very good in a lot of areas. Elite defender, one of the best in the league. However it's the rest of the game that bumps him from a role player/bench type to a starter. Very good jumpshooter, reliable from the charity stripe. Also great handles, won't turn it over much. Average shotblocker but an above average post defender. Also just a solid athlete for a big man. Mediocre potential.
Bennett Grooms PF 6'10" 225 19 C+ B D+ B+ C+ A
Possible #1 pick. If the no blocks on Kimbrough turns you off Grooms is the man for you. Grooms is an elite shotblocker, should develop into one of the best in BBS in that category. Good shooter, has a nice jumpshot as well as a 3PT shot. Average inside scorer currently. Good handles and above average post defense. Mediocre rebounder. Huge upside. Above average strength and an average athlete. Time to try and make an outside big!
Lawerence Metzier PF 6'10" 245 23 C+ C+ C+ C+ C+ A
Jack of all trades, master of none. Scouts believe he still has a lot of room to grow because of his worth ethic even if he is 23. Above-average jumpshot with mediocre post defense. Not a great stats defender, solid strength. OK athlete. Kind of a boom/bust type.
Small Forwards
Terrell Aridge SF 6'7" 215 19 B C C- B C B
The younger brother of PG Logan Aridge, it seems as though the gene pool split with most of the pure athletic ability going to Terrell. Supreme athletic ability. Very good jumper. Mediocre jumpshooter. Rest of his game is mediocre to bad. Sort of a home body, growing up in Tennessee he attended UT and would like to stay in the southern part of the US. Doesn't want to play in a cold city. If he gets drafted to a southern US city he will get 3 freebie RCs on draft night along with one extra AC.
Jerald Alexis SF 6'7" 225 20 C+ B C A B+ B
Has a chance to go #1 because there isn't a better overall defender in the league currently. Think of someone like Bobby Jones from BBS4 when it comes to defense. If you don't know who that is or wasn't around he was a stud on that end. He can defend any position on the floor. Elite blocking and steals. Great handles. He is just an average inside scorer but has a good jumpshot. Elite perimeter defender. Just an average athlete. Good upside. His offense may never be elite but who cares.
Adolfo Saez SF 6'10" 225 22 C+ C C B- A- B
Oversized foreign big who is really only good at a few things: rebounding and steals. Might average around 1.5 spg as a rookie. If you draft him know that's all you'll be getting. Good strength and a great athlete. Good upside.
Arnaud Flamen SF 6'8" 215 20 A- B- B- C+ C B
Jumbo Guard/Forward who goes high because his ratings are attractive. Above average at a lot of things, but not great at anything currently. Monster athlete. OK jumpshot, streaky 3PT shot. Good passer, above average with stealing the ball. Good upside, needs work but has some things to build upon.
Jim Gingerich SF 6'6" 234 19 B- B- C+ C+ B- B
Sort of in the same mold as Arnaud, without the elite athlecisim. Has a good skill set when it comes to rebounding the ball. Above average at everything on defense except for defending the post. Decent strength and upside.
Shooting Guards
Kang-Dae Hwangbo SG 6'2" 180 ? B B C B- C C
KDH was born in North Korea and reportedly was averaging over 60 PPG and 30 RPG in the supreme league. He escaped through South Korea to pursue a NBA career. No one really knows much about his game because they haven't seen him play, but reports are that he is indeed a very good offensive player. The only question: nobody knows his age. Reports range anywhere from 21 to 25, and with the draft quickly approaching it's doubtful anyone will know his true age. His age will be tied to potential in a random way and I'll randomize his age, so in essence:
21=tied to one potential
22=anothers
23, 24, and 25 all tied to different potentials
These potentials will be 5, 25, 50, 75, and 100. I'll randomize his age after I assign potentials to each age and I'll input that # as his true potential
So for instance if I say that 5 potential is equal to age 22, and he is randomly assigned aged 22 his real potential will be 5 (just an example).
Sandy Cummins SG 6'6" 200 18 C+ C+ C+ C C A
Raw player with amazing upside who is still 18. Was young for his class and decided to declare for the draft after a sub-par year at Arkansas. Really needs a lot of work but he has a chance.
Mateen Colliton SG 6'5" 195 22 B A- C C C C
Big time offensive player that has pretty much peaked. Excellent scorer from everywhere on the court. Great handles. Not a great defender, but is decent in man to man defense on the perimeter. Not very athletic. Crafty scorer who should find a niche in the league.
Enrique Schenk SG 6'5" 215 20 C+ B+ D+ C C- A
Shooter with a great jumpshot and upside. Only drawback is he really has turnover issues. Decent athlete, poor defender except he may average over 1 spg.
Cletus Clayton SG 6'5" 210 22 F- A+ C+ C+ D+ C
Will be hands down the best shooter in the league when he laces them up. Elite handling ability too, won't turn it over. Obvious what the draw back is? He can't score, inside....at all. He had a freak accident when he was a child with his arm getting stuck in a basketball goal oddly so he won't even attempt it. Mediocre positonal defender, not a stats defender. Not athletic at all, no jumping ability. Good upside, but I doubt his ratings change much.
Point Guards
Dan McMinn PG 6'3" 200 22 F- F- F- F- F- B
Basically a custom built player. Here's how this will work:
There are 15 ratings in FBB.
Inside Scoring
Jump Shot
3 Point Shot
Handling
Quickness
Passing
Stealing
Shot Blocking
Post Defense
Perimeter Defense
Drive Defense
Offensive Rebounding
Defensive Rebounding
Strength
Jumping
There will be 15 #s assigned with ratings, this will be
1) 25
2) 30
3) 35
4) 40
5) 45
6) 50
7) 55
8) 60
9) 65
10) 70
11) 75
12) 80
13) 85
14) 90
15) 95
Of those ratings, after the player is drafted, the GM gets to choose where four random attributes go. So I'll randomize four numbers between 1 and 15, and the GM will be able to choose where the resulting ratings go
so for example if the randomized #s were 1, 2, 3, and 4 The GM would choose which categories to assign a rating of 23, 30, 35 and 40 to respectively. The rest of the ratings get randomized with the leftover attributes and once a # is used it is removed from the ratings list, so for example you won't get two 95s, two 25s, etc. McMinn can play any position.
Efran Menchaca PG 6'1" 190 19 C+ B- C C+ D+ C
Young PG with good upside. Good jumpshot, solid handles. Mediocre passing. Above average perimeter defense. Not very athletic and a poor rebounder. Backup type PG.
Thomas Gordon PG 6'1" 180 21 C+ C+ C+ C+ C C
Only thing Gordon does well is handle the ball. He won't turn it over very much. Rest of his game is nothing but a vast land of mediocre. Not much upisde.
Allen Cato PG 6'4" 197 21 C+ C C B- D A
Young PG with a lot of upside that has some holes in his game. Not a very good shooter at all, poor from both midrange and 3PT. OK handles, although nothing great currently. He does have quick hands on defense though and is an above average athlete. Still very raw.
Trey Adorno PG 6'6" 205 23 A D C- B- C D
Elite inside scorer for a PG. Very strong and a great athlete. Has a broke shot though, struggles when he isn't driving. Mediocre handles, might struggle a bit with TOs. Solid positional defender, but not great at steals. DOesn't like to pass. Good strength for a PG. Not much upside.
Berry Armentrout C 7'6" 350 20 B D F- B B+ B
