CENTERS
Tony McLin C 7'0" 285 19 C+ D D+ B- B- A
McLin is a young center bursting with upside. However, there are some major red flags: mainly injuries. He suffered a torn meniscus in the USC's elite 8 game, and his recovery is behind schedule. He is likely to miss his rookie season due to rehab. However, if he can get past this injury scouts love his upside. They feel his ceiling will only get higher if he can stay healthy. With that in mind every season (on his rookie contract) that he is injured for less than 20 days I'll add +5 to his potential pre-TC. If however he is injured for more than 20 days in any season during his rookie contract he will lose 25 points in potential (1 time only). McLin will also miss his entire rookie season due to a meniscus injury (I'm manually putting this in....it won't cause him to lose potential though).
As far as his actual game, Tony is really raw. He's average in the post, not a good jumpshooter. Average athleticism for a Center, but is a decent post defender and should average around 1-1.5 bpg as a rookie. Okay rebounder, solid strength.
Goffredo Millemaci C 7'1'' 275 19 C D+ D+ C+ C+ A
Channeling my inner Spence here, another raw big man. Has a nice base to build upon as he is a decent post defender and rebounder. Mediocre FT shooter and athlete. Really just a boom/bust player.
Matej Benda C 7'0'' 230 20 B- D+ C- B C+ B
Good inside scorer and post defender. Great upside. Average shotblocker. Mediocre FT shooter, sums up his game very well. With his ratings and potential somebody will take him in the lotto.
Martin Krause C 7'0'' 275 18 B- C D B- C+ B
Very good FT shooter and post scorer for his age. Elite strength. Body has really developed quickly and he was just able to demolish high school competition. Scouts really like his upside but he is raw enough to still be considered a boom/bust player. Just average on defense, will average around 1 BPG as a rookie. Could be a stud. Probably a top 5-7 pick based on upside.
POWER FORWARDS
Aldabert Toppag PF 6'10" 255 19 B C C C+ C A
Toppag is a young German forward who has a smooth game. Good inside scorer who is a decent stats defender: both steals and blocks. Should average ~1 per game of each. Also a solid post defender. Still needs to work on his shot. Likes to shoot threes and seems to have a hitch in his jumpshot. Sort of underwhelming as a rebounder, nothing special there at the moment. Has nice upside so he has a chance, but does have the skills to thrive in BBS? We'll see.
Robin Roche PF 6'10'' 230 21 C+ D C- B+ B- B
A good defender in the post. Solid both positionally and swatting shots, although not great at either. A solid rebounder both offensively and defensively. Surprisingly crafty scorer in the post. Below average FT shooter. Poor athlete. Decent upside.
Meinrad Wagenbrenner PF 6'11'' 225 20 B C- D- C+ B B
Contender for being the best post scorer in the draft. Very good rebounder. Mediocre athlete. Very good hands for a big man, won't turn it over very much. OK defender, nothing special. Decent upside, good rotational player/spot starer right away that may develop into a long-term starter.
Darryl Myles PF 6'10'' 245 19 B D D+ B- C+ B
BIG time athlete. Won't find a big that is quicker or more athletically gifted than him. Really the only redeeming feature of his game right now. Below average FT shooter and just a mediocre defender and rebounder overall. Very raw. Boom/bust type.
SMALL FORWARDS
Josh Moy SF 6'7" 220 22 C+ C C+ A C+ C
What you see is what you get. Moy is probably the best defender in the draft. Lightning quick hands, can matchup with anyone on the court either in the post or the perimeter. Won't turn it over. Above average rebounder. Not a spectacular athlete. Won't get much better but he doesn't need to in order to find a spot in the rotation. Could probably come in and be a starter on several teams due to his defense. For that alone he is in consideration for a lotto pick.
Robert Beech SF 6'10" 195 20 B C D C C A
Beech exploded onto the scene his Sophomore year at Blinn, a junior college in Texas. Originally planning to attend Missouri, after jumping to the top of the JC rankings and creating a buzz about his game, Beech decided to go pro. Oozes potential, but obviously there are some holes in his game. He still isn't much of a team player, he doesn't like to pass the ball. He wants to score when he has the ball. Luckily, he is a great ball handler. An above average post scorer for his size although he mainly relies on his elite athleticism down there to score and draw fouls, where he is usually automatic from the FT line, traditional 3PT play machine. Mediocre defender and rebounder, nothing to really write home about. Should go top 5, really has a chance to be special if he develops right.
Hew Lenderyou SF 6'9" 245 20 D+ A C C+ B A
Great shooter, one of the best shooters in the draft, can knock it in from anywhere. Really, it's obvious what his weakness is: inside scoring. Almost seems like he is allergic to driving to the basket. Really about the only knock. Can handle the ball well, decent at using his length to block a shot a game, obviously a great positional rebounder. Decent athlete, nothing special though. Good upside, could be great if he is used correctly and not expected to do things he can't.
Patrick Padgett SF 6'7'' 243 22 C B C C+ C A
Project player who has an excellent jumpshot. Not much else to say about his game. Mediocre athlete. Poor perimeter defender. Boom/bust type. Not much else to say
SHOOTING GUARDS
Greg Savoie SG 6'5" 205 21 B B- C- C+ C B
BBS ready player that should come in and contribute right away. Very good inside scorer who has a deadly 3PT shot. Solid athlete with decent strength for his size. Really nothing worth noting on the defensive end. Mediocre upside. If he improves his jumpshot he could be a starter.
Tobias Boudreau SG 6'3" 210 20 C+ B+ C B C A
Did someone turn the lights out? Boudreau is a great shooter from anywhere on the court, mid range, long range, from the concession stands. Tobias also has solid handles and is a good athlete. Quick hands on the defensive end as well. Really needs to work on his inside game, as right now he tends to rely too much on his athleticism in that area. Has the tools to improve on that though, really good upside. Very attractive player for a team in the lotto.
Terrance Russell SG 6'5" 215 22 C+ C+ C+ B C A
Russel is more of a PG but always played off the ball his only year at the college level due to playing with Stoffer. He may be better as a PG, his handles are great, but if you move him he will take the hit, so prepare to +8 him after doing so. Solid jumpshot, very good steals. Solid rebounder for his size. Poor strength, solid athlete. Good upside. If you want to take the risk moving him to PG it may pay off, but he will still be solid if left at SG.
Larry Kennedy SG 6'6" 205 20 B- B C+ C+ C B
Doesn't really have a hole in his game. Can score from anywhere on the court. Solid range on his shot. Good handles and potential. OK stats defender, nothing great on that end. Only gripe might be rebounding, but you can live with it. Will be a really solid starter for a number of years. Lotto pick for sure.
Sidney Jones SG 6'3'' 180 22 B+ C C C+ C B
Sid the squid would be excellent in an inside offense. Truly great inside scorer, with a decent jumpshot. Just average on defense and a poor defensive rebounder, also just has mediocre upside. Average athlete, BBS starter ready, will make a lot of teams happy. Certain teams that run inside offenses could justify taking him pretty high. Solid, safe pick.
POINT GUARDS
Johnie McKeown PG 6'1" 175 23 C B B+ C C- B
McKeown is an interesting fellow. He is a genius in the class room, graduated high school and college by the age of 17 and just recently finished up medical school and residency. He wants to be a practicing physician, but also has a love for the game of basketball. He wants to play in the NBA in order to stash some money to open up his own practice. In the meantime, he'll be a solid player who will work with the team doctors on treating injuries. Due to being somewhat of a medical protege, any injury a teammate has while McKeown is on the team will immediately be reduced by 50%, rounded up (out 7 days, 4 days will be cut)
As far as his game McKeown is a grat jumpshooter with good handles. Mediocre athlete and poor defender. Might average around 1 spg. Streaky 3PT shooter. Poor strength. Solid upside. Should be a solid role player type. How high does he go?
Charlie Stoffer PG 6'8" 210 19 B C+ C+ B C+ A
You read that right, a 6'8" PG. Although his ratings are very attractive, he is still quite raw. Doesn't really do anything spectacular on the offensive end outside of dunks and putbacks. Jump out of the gym athletic ability. Needs to work on his handles. Above average defender both positionally and theft wise. As good as they come as far as rebounding PGs (actual PGs, not other players playing the position). Solid foundation to build on, great potential, just needs to improve his skills.
Justin Ratchford PG 6'0" 200 22 C+ B A- C C C
Ratchford is another player that is BBS ready. Great handles. Decent jumpshot and 3PT stroke. Not totally lost when he drives. Not a stats defender. Mediocre potential. Fringe starter/back-up type, just lacks the defense to probably be a long-term solution, although teams will love his handling ability.
Rocky Dalessio PG 6'2" 200 23 B+ C C C+ C C
Intriguing prospect. Loves to drive to the basket. Elite inside scorer, automatic from the FT line. Won't shoot threes, doesn't even consider it. Has a handling issue. Mediocre athlete, might be peaked as far as potential. More of a scoring PG. Nothing special on defense, solid positionally. An early +8 to his handles could make him a headache to opposing defenders.
Tony McLin C 7'0" 285 19 C+ D D+ B- B- A
McLin is a young center bursting with upside. However, there are some major red flags: mainly injuries. He suffered a torn meniscus in the USC's elite 8 game, and his recovery is behind schedule.
