As you may be aware, this iteration of BBS will do a better job at improving FBB's HOF point system by adding points to the league MVP, ROY, DPOY and All-League 1st Teamers at the end of every season (as well as Playoff MVP and Champions).
Currently, we are adding HOF points to players based on the awards handed out by FBB. I am wondering, should we continue going with that route or would it be a better idea to use the results from Greeme's GM Poll?
Please vote. Input greatly appreciated.

I think we should go by FBB Awards, as they aren't subjective... and we have a vote for each class for each player and whether or not they should enter the Hall of Fame. For those voted in, Spence can just add however many points to the player needed to get them in.

Think this was previously done in UOSL or in BBS I can't remember... it's easier than having to add points to players every season for example... just do it at the end of their careers and it's done.

could even have a nomination committee, when a guy hits 33, the three people on the committee blindly send in players at 33 or older that they believe deserve a nomination, say like 5 guys max, or three. if Two guys send the same name, Spencer edits his HOF points, and he gets a vote

Way too much work. No interest in it. far less work than you editing each guys HOF points, you'd be doing the same thing, only less of it

Way too much work. No interest in it. Spence how is voting more work than you going through every single year and adding HOF points to each player who gets an award? With the voting you literally don't have to do anything but add the HOF points at one point in time for the player who gets voted in. Hell just ask someone to do a "HOF Job" for an RC or whatever. Set up some criteria e.g. player has to be 34+ years of age or something... then the HOF Guy can just post up a thread per players at the end of each season, say 6 or 7 of them, and people vote in each thread if they think that player should go in or not. As long as people aren't stupid and vote in everybody it's all good. We just be strict about it and see how it goes. You don't have to do anything but add say 100k points (or however many guarantees HOF in FBB) to 2 or 3 players each year (if that) instead of going through every player who gets an award and adding points.

Or even do the vote after the players have retired

Nah. Sent from my SPH-D710 using proboards So you'd rather add points every year to dozens of players based on their awards than one set one time per year to like 3 players per year? That makes zero sense. Thought you wanted less work to do.

Editing the points doesnt take long. It was like 5 minutes twice. No biggie at all.
Voting means I need to save relevant player pages each year. Then post them with a poll. The saving of relevant player pages way more time consuming.
