Ya. Been a while since one of these has been done and I'm feeling froggy.
Just missed the cut:
Royal Ivey PG 32 6'3'' 200 C+ C C- A- D+ D - Winner, not many PGs like him, if you have studs he is the perfect PG...getting up there and age but will always have a place due to low turnovers / good defense
Darren Collison PG 27 6'0'' 160 B- A B A- C- C - In a league void of a lot of great PGs, Collison has been playing out of his mind the past few seasons, interested to see if he could keep it up, great contract.
Kobe Bryant SG 36 6'7'' 215 A- A C+ A+ C D - Old & turnover prone in a saturated SG/SF league.
Eric Bledsoe PG 24 6'1'' 192 B B C+ A- C C - One of the top perimeter stats defenders out there, usually around 3.5 BPG+SPG, really sucks that his ratings are deceiving, he is turnover prone and B inside means shit due to athleticism.
Amir Johnson PF 27 6'9'' 210 A C- C B+ B- D - A inside is rare, and he is a solid big, not really elite at anything though
Amare Stoudemire C 31 6'10'' 245 A D+ D+ A- B- D - See Amir, but older.
Darko Milicic C 29 7'0'' 245 B+ C D+ A A- C - Right there as far as other defensive bigs who will make the liast, but the contract is a deal breaker. Still a great player.
Rudy Gay SF 28 6'9'' 220 B A- C+ A- C C - Really good player, but again there are too many younger, better options at SG/SF for him to make the top 50.
Michael Redd SG 35 6'6'' 215 B- A+ C A- C- D - Old, but still a monster. One of the best scorers out there.
Jermaine Reed PG 19 6'2'' 188 B- B- B- C+ D+ A - 19, a PG, and had a good TC, steal of the draft?
And now....
50. Tim Duncan PF 38 7'0'' 260 B+ C B- A A- D
I don't care if he is 38 or 48, Duncan has a place on the top 50 as long as he plays, he is still an elite big and I would feel filthy not putting the GOAT on the list. What a career. Might win ANOTHER title this year, who knows.
49. Royce White PF 23 6'8'' 270 B- C- A- C+ B+ C
I've always loved Royce, there isn't another PG in the league like him. If he could ever control his turnovers to around 2.5 or so his value would skyrocket on this list. Value gets helped by a barren PG market, if you have a good PG, keep him! Really intriguing player who is still young.
48. DeJuan Blair C 25 6'7'' 265 B C- C- B+ A- C
Recently traded for a bag of shit and a pack of floss, Blair is a stud. Rebounding is always valuable and he is a good scorer. What might separate him from who is next on the list, even though he is younger, is better stats defense. Really good player.
47. Kris Humphries C 29 6'9'' 235 B+ C D+ A- A- C
Basically everything you would want in a big. Rebounds, scores well, blocks shots, and can shoot FTs fairly well. Don't know if he has ever fully "shined" as even on a bad team he still is averaging < 20 ppg. Also expiring so it be interesting to see if the Mavs offer him a full max or what. Lots of solid bigs in the league.
46. Louis Williams SG 27 6'2'' 175 B A C B+ D+ C
Really like Lou, great volume scorer when in the right offense, always shoots good %s, and one of the top stealing guys in the league. What's not to like?
45. Brody Weller SG 21 6'4'' 203 B- B C+ B C+ A
Weller had a pretty good TC and looks to have a GREAT future in the league. C+ rebounding at SG is an advantage as well, as his averages show he is more than capable in that category. Really needs to get a +8 Inside, as his rating is likely a result of athleticism. Likely still has a lot of potential and could be amazing if developed right. Really like Weller.
44. Kenneth Faried PF 24 6'7'' 225 B- D+ D+ A- A- C
Really believe Faried is a few ACs away from being an absolute beast. He doesn't turn it over, is a good FT shooter, great rebounder and elite shotblocker. If he gets max'd and you commit to camping him he could be one of the eltie PFs in the league. I know bundy is considering trading him, but hold on to him.
43. Victor Oladipo SG 22 6'5'' 210 C+ B- B- A+ B- B
If it wasn't for another player that we will see later on this list, Oladipo might have been the story of the 2013 draft. Complete stud. Will never be an elite scorer but who cares when you have defense/rebounding like he provides at the 2 position. Think he could develop into a 15/7/2.5 type, which is great, although I expect his value to decline as he gets older and his offensive holes shine through. Stock is high right now though, but how about in four years when he's on a max and is around a 13 PPG SG? Interested to see what skillz does with him, as right now he could sell high.
42. Eric Gordon SG 25 6'3'' 222 A- A C+ A- C C
Struggled where to place Gordon, or even if I should include him in this list. Call it a rating whore inclusion, but his ratings are too damn nice not to consider him, and as of right now he is still young and on a good rookie max contract. Still has a +5 left, which should probably go to his handling. 3.6 TPG as a non PG is a killer, might should be lower and the more I type the more I think he should be around 48-50, if it all. Oladipo probably has more value than him right now, meh.
41. Brandon Roy SG 30 6'6'' 215 B+ A- A- B C D
Again, another guard that might be a little high, especially considering age, and that I'm down on the SG/SF value as a whole due to saturation, but still a stud. Has consistently been a stud scorer with a good all-around game. I think jeff has been trying to trade him for a while, and just hasn't had much luck. Toss him my way imo
40. Yao Ming C 34 7'5'' 296 B+ C C A- A C
A truly dominant big man in the league, might be the third best big the league has seen behind Shaq and Duncan, soooo good, and still is. Would have felt guilty not including him, but like Duncan, advancing in years and as an expiring, might get a pretty ugly contract soon. Still leading a possible contending team and is an elite rebounder. Stud.
39. Josh Smith PF 28 6'9'' 225 A- C+ B A- B C
Another great big here at 38. Still a 20/11/3+ BPG+SPG player, and a GREAT FT shooter, also on a very reasonable contract. Maybe you would like a bit more volume scoring but you'll take a slight decrease for his above-rating rebounding as well as great defense. Never has truly broken through, always has seemed to be a complementary player to a star.
38. Dwight Howard C 28 6'11'' 240 A- D+ D+ A- A- C
Dwight has had an up and down career, still has value slightly due to name, slightly due to ratings, and lesser to do with production. Don't get me wrong: he's a great big in the league, but maybe you would expect more out of his ratings. Not really an elite shot blocker, which hurts when you consider his other flaws. Is on an amazing contract though, which boosts his value, also still relatively young. Skillz will talk him up and end up raping someone for him.
37. Shabazz Muhammed SF 20 6'6'' 223 B- A- C- B+ C B
Former #1 pick in his second season in the league, still think Shabazz has a ton of value. Apparent that Broph wanted to make him a complete stud, and once he gets is ACs and develops further he could rocket up this list, has the potential to be deadly (look at the lack of turnovers). Also a solid rebounder and shoots decent %s. People thought one of McLemore/Bazz would bust, some thought Shabazz, well yeah Shabazz is gonna be the stud and McLemore is garbo.
36. James Harden SG 25 6'5'' 220 B+ A- C B+ C C
Pretty much the same problems as Eric Gordon, although he is a much better scorer. Looks like he still has a +8 left, someone please camp his handling. Young and contract is reasonable, think from surveying league wide he has a lot of value, was involved in a deal for LeBron. Pretty good defense (2 SPG), and a solid rebounder for a guard. Don't expect Bazz to be behind him for long.
