One of the all time greats, Deron Williams exceeded every expectation placed on him. Scouts believed the Chris Paul was the better player coming out of college, but Williams proved the scouts wrong and became the best PG in BBS. Williams has led the Magic to a respectable 26-21 record with their 1st option Harden being out the past couple of sims with a fractured arm. The Magic’s next best scorer besides Williams is Alando Tucker B+ C+ C A C+ D, so it is safe to say Williams has been carrying this team so far. Williams averages 22 ppg on the 2nd best FG % and 2nd best 3pt % among elite point guards.. Williams is also among a handful of elite PG’s to average less than 2.0 tpg.

The #1 overall pick in 2005 has not been a disappointed by any stretch of the imagination, but Paul is not the best player in the class. Paul is slightly behind Williams in every category, but that only puts him at second best in the league. Paul is one of the best overall shooters in the league due to his unbelievably reliable free throw shooting and 3pt game. The Pacers started off slowly, but had a promising 4-2 sim led by Paul. Paul is as consistent as they come.
Derrick Rose
Nuggets 18-20 9th Seed

An argument could be made that Rose is the best PG in the league, but his unconventional play style keeps him from the #1 spot. It could be said that Rose’s style is revolutionary since he is a first score point guard who averages a reasonable 3tpg. Rose has been carrying the Nuggets and is a threat to drop 40 any game. The Nuggets had their first good sim in a while going 5-2 which is mainly due to Rose having 5 games of 30 or more points including a 44 and a 49 point game. It will be interesting if more teams starting developing point guards in the mold of Rose.

Lowry has been one of the best two players in the league. He has been just as dominate on defense as on offense. Lowry is starting to pass his prime in which he won an MVP. Lowry is a part of a trio of Hawks players who shoot above 90% from the FT line. Lowry came into the league turnover prone, but has kept them down below 2 topg since his 2011 MVP campaign. Lowry is also a top rebounder at the point guard position grabbing six rebounds a game.

Lillard looks like a young Steve Nash dishing out assists, shooting great %’s and not playing a smidge of defense. Lillard is shooting a ridiculous 47% from the field and 46% from 3 while shooting an improving 82% from the charity stripe. He's leading the Wizards to a playoff spot which they might not want considering they still need to put pieces beside Lillard Lillard still has 3 RC’s and 2 AC’s left, and if the GM decides to get on that Lillard can be transformed into one of the best players. Lillard is the future of the point guard position.
