A Chat with Erbes
1) You made a huge splash during the creation draft by trading for a second top-15 pick. You then proceeded to take two wings, both of which considered by most to be slight reaches. What was your mindset when making those picks?
Guns blazing first question! Well come take a seat next to the fire and let me explain... Neither were reaches. Boom that's it. Nah jking. Listen, I knew going in that I wasn't going to have a 1st round pick for the next 5 years, meaning I'd have to at least be a playoff team for the next 5 years for it not to blow up in my face. Yeah Shaq was there (too old), yeah Jermaine O'Neill was there (okay I should have taken JO), but I wanted younger guys who would be good for at least 5 years. VC and Marion beasted in both Preseasons and honestly I thought they were safe picks. I mean look at Marion after two RCs... guy is going to be a stud.
2) It is obvious that you are competing for a championship and have high expectations for this season. Which teams do you feel pose the greatest threat?
Can I say nobody? Feel like my team speaks for itself... Nahhh jping. Obviously my weakness is on the blocks. Kandi and Mihm are subpar so I'm scared of teams with big bigs who can score. Boston, Detroit, Bucks and Warriors are all in that boat. Thing is though I think I can outscore all of them with my wings.
3) Are there any types of moves in particular you are looking to make to help your team?
Depth, depth, and more depth. Especially at the 1-2-3. We're thin up top because I had to dedicate so many draft picks to grabbing mediocre bigs to plug that hole before we sank. I'd love to grab a shooter. Seems like we don't have a knock down 3 point sniper which I always felt was something that a team needed.
4) After the first 15 days, what are the bright spots for your team and which areas (if any) have you been disappointed with?

Think that speaks for itself. He's been amazing. I mean he's grabbing close to 10 RBG. Haven't looked, but how many SFs are doing that right now? The turnovers are beautiful too. Great pick Erbes!
My defense has been pretty awesome too. Shutting teams down left and right. Sort of like Nanz when he tries to hit on girls. REJECTED!

I wouldn't call these guys disappointments, but VC's percentages blow dick and Dre's just been meh I guess. I'll start to RC Vince though and hopefully get some better production.
5) Which GMs do you feel are the frontrunners for the inaugural GM Of The Year award? And why
Me. Look at my team. But seriously, it's hard to choose at this point I guess. DBW made the first real splash of the league so I'm sure he'll get the nod. As long as it's not CC. All he does hit my smite button. Not cool dude!
6) If there was an award for Worst GM Of The Year, which GMs do you feel would be the frontrunners? And why
Again, tough to say at this point based on games, but there's definitely a few who haven't been as active as they should. Like if you don't have time for the league then step down, am I right? What's up Heatflash? Oh and CC should get it for the Camby-Nash trade. Oh and also Insane for drafting Joe Johnson. Miserable pick.
7) Are there any GMs which you feel should be fired or placed onto the hot seat? If so, who and why?
I might throw out a ton of names, but nahhh not right now. Maybe put HF and Marty on the hot seat, only because somebody needs to keep Marty in check. He's a wild child!
8) Are there any GMs who you would like to call out? If so, who and why?
Ummmmm nah. Just Nanz and Big Air for being my friends!
9) For some reason, your “karma rating” has been heading quickly in the negative direction. Who have you pissed off?
I can, with 100% confidence, say everybody. But I mean it's not like I rag on people or am malicious. I just post a lot. Yeah sometimes I annoy even myself, but somebody has to do it.
10) Is there anything interesting which you would like to share about yourself?
Circumsized. I work for the Buffalo Bisons. I've never been a bottom. In my past life I was a grizzly bear. I'm a pretty horrible GM skill wise. I really enjoy the show Pretty Little Liars. Spencer Hastings is my fav character on it. And yeahhhhhh. Cool.
