1. Los Angeles Clippers - Anthony Davis PF 6'10'' 220 19 B C- D+ B+ C+ A
Grade: A+
Davis was the easy #1 pick to me. Have no idea why other nubs like kobe24 were hyping up Drummond so much. Probably trying to run a mind game of some sort but I digress. Sure fire star player for a decade +.
2. New Orleans Hornets - Andre Drummond C 6'10'' 270 18 B+ D- F+ C+ B+ A
Grade: A
The obvious #2 pick. You can't pass up a 18 year old big with potential to be Shaq.
Now that we got nice laugh in, lets get into the pick for real. Drummond can't shoot and has a B+ inside rating that is mostly made up of jumping. Trash. However apparently he has the make up and potential to be a defensive stalwart. Stud.
3. Memphis Grizzlies - Bradley Beal SG 6'3'' 207 19 C+ B+ B- C+ C- A
Grade: B
I actually don't like Beal that much and I'm not sure why the others do. I mean sure the ratings are there but I actually had Michael Kidd-Gilchrist higher on my list. Even though he was said to not have a real weakness... I just get this feeling that he wouldn't have been the right pick if MKG was still on the board. Would have liked to see a comment on his inside scoring ability for sure. I guess this is the safe pick for Memphis here as Beal's starting ratings are pretty impressive. I don't feel he'll live up to the hype.
4. Boston Celtics - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF 6'7'' 205 19 B- C C A B- A
Grade: A+
I fell. A little pissed off I had to take a wing over Davis or Drummond but you know what? I'm ok with MKG. Guy's notes were pretty much flawless. Stud positional defender that gets blocks, rebounds and doesn't turn the ball over. Play probably shitting on the pick because of the B- C scoring ratings.
1. Juan Dixon C 82 31.2 20.7 10.0 2.4 0.5 1.4 1.6 .450 .714 .000
2. Was said to have an excellent jumpshot with good inside scoring ability. I'm sold. Perfect fit with 2 GREGZZZZZ
5. Washington Wizards - Damian Lillard PG 6'2'' 190 21 C+ A- B- C- D+ A
Grade: B+
I guess at this point in the draft Lillard was an obvious choice. Not giving this a super high grade because I simply don't like these kinds of guards. Never have, never will. He was said to have nice strength so if he has any sort of inside to go with that nice A- outside, Lillard will put up huge scoring numbers for his whole career. That being said, that shitty defense is hard to shake... and D+ rebounding in a game where rebounding is so important sucks.
6. Los Angeles Lakers - Harrison Barnes SF 6'8'' 223 20 B- B- C- B- C A
Grade: B-
Meh, agree with the others on Ross being the 3rd wing to go after Bradley Beal and MKG. Barnes only had solid notes and while that isn't the end all, be all, "still should be a starter at least" isn't exactly what I want to see in the notes of my 6th pick. Ross had great notes and better ratings. Weird.
7. Philadelphia 76ers - Meyers Leonard C 7'0'' 245 20 B- C F+ B- C A
Grade: D
Garbage. Meyers fucking Leonard is going to be straight garbage. Don't like this pick at all for the 76ers. I understand that they have guards on guards on gaurds but you still need to look toward the best player and I feel at this point it's obviously Ross. Draft Ross and trade the other guards... problem solved. C rebounding... has to work on strength... nasty pick. And not in a good way
8. San Antonio Spurs - Thomas Robinson PF 6'9'' 240 21 C+ C- D C+ B A
Grade: C+
If you were going to take a big at this point, then Robinson was definitely the better choice than Leonard off rebounding alone. That being said, not sure Robinson is going to be any good here. Seems like he got shafted with the inside rating... and reading the notes over again it doesn't seem like Broph didn't use any tricks to make him a beast under the hood. Simply a meh prospect all around.. which means this gets a meh grade
9. Denver Nuggets - Terrance Ross SG 6'6'' 195 21 B- B C- B- C A
Grade: A
Got the (maybe) 4th or 5th, definitely 6th best prospect in the draft at #9? Jeff is eating good out here and lord knows he's hungry as fuck. I'm guessing the athletic bit in Ross's notes turned him off to some people. But the shooting, outside and good rebounding can not be overlooked. Ross should be good.
10. Seattle Supersonics - Royce White PF 6'8'' 270 21 B- D+ B+ C B- B
Grade: C
White is being a big bitch irl and therefore I just can't fuck with him. Hate my reasoning for the grade? Sue me. Will be interesting to see him at PG though.
11. Phoenix Suns - Jared Sullinger C 6'9'' 280 20 C+ C D B- B+ B
Grade: B+
My boy Sully! Nice pick for the Suns off rebounding alone. Rebounding is so fucking important and Sully is already a beast at it at just 20. He can also shoot jumpshots, has great strength and doesn't have any major handling problems. Basically the ground work to an excellent big in the future.
12. Milwaukee Bucks - Dion Waiters SG 6'4'' 210 20 C+ B B C D+ A
Grade: B-
Bucks seems to feel like he got a steal here. I'm here to tell him that unfortunately, he did not Waiters fell for a reason and it's because he simply isn't that good. I mean don't get me wrong.. he's definitely better than Meyers fucking Leonard but when you're essentially deemed a great 6th man at the pro level you probably can't expect too much development.
13. Orlando Magic - Tony Wroten PG 6'5'' 205 19 B- C- B- B C B
Grade: B
Wroten can't shoot.... not even mid range jumpers. Who wants that out of their slashing PG? Not I. Handles in question? Eww. Solid pick considering the spot but I'm not jumping up and down about it.
14. Minnesota Timberwolves - Jeremy Lamb SG 6'5'' 185 20 C+ B+ C- B- C- B
Grade: C+
Note sure what to think of Lamb. He has very nice starting ratings at just 20 years old but his notes seem very meh. Definitely have to wait and see with him.
15. Los Angeles Lakers - Arnette Moultrie SF 6'11'' 230 21 B- C+ D+ C+ C A
Grade: C+
Moultrie is supposed to be a solid scorer at the very least so you can't go wrong with a pick like that at 15. Probably would have went with him over
16. Memphis Grizzlies - John Henson PF 6'11'' 220 21 B- D D C+ C+ A
Grade: B
Huge pick for kobe24 and the Grizzlies here. He's weak and fell because of it... however the defensive potential is there and that's always a huge plus. Not to mention he's better than Leonard.
17. Boston Celtics - Austin Rivers SG 6'4'' 203 19 C C+ C C+ D A
Grade: A+
Got the coach's boy, what can I say? Forget about his shit strength, slashing, shooting and handle. Austin Rivers can defend and has that big P word on his side. Obviously a steal and can't wait to see what Doc molds him into
18. Minnesota Timberwolves - Perry Jones PF 6'11'' 220 20 C+ C C- C+ C+ B
Grade: B+
Really like this pick. At this point in the draft boom bust types are perfectly fine. Honestly I probably should have took him over Austin but I just couldn't get past having the coach's son on my team. Anyway, I have a feeling about Jones. Don't think he's gonna be a star but I think he'll end up being on the better players in this draft.
19. Philadelphia 76ers - Fab Melo C 7'0'' 255 20 B- D+ D- B C+ B
Grade: B
How did UK manage to draft a player at 19 that's better than the player he drafted at 7? Woooooooooooooooow. Anyway, this is a nice value pick here. Any time you can get a big with defensive potential in the back end of the first, you do it.
20. Los Angeles Clippers - Tyler Zeller C 6'11'' 240 22 C+ C- D B- B- B
Grade: B+
Solid pick at 20. I think he's better than Melo overall, though I guess people would value Melo more. Can shoot, defend and rebound decently.
