1. Los Angeles Clippers - Andre Drummond C 6'10'' 270 18 B+ D- F+ C+ B+ A
The Clippers have perhaps the toughest choice in the draft if they stay at #1. The GMs are torn on whether Drummond or Davis should go first and it will be a hard decision for sure for whoever gets the #1 pick. Some GMs are turned off by Drummond's terrible free throw shooting and raw post game, but he is a much better rebounder than Davis and will be able to block 2-3 shots per game. And with Drummond being a year younger I think it makes him the player to select with the first overall pick. He will need a lot of work obviously on the offensive end but my biggest question mark was whether he could block shots and since he can I think you take him.
2. Boston Celtics - Anthony Davis PF 6'10'' 220 19 B C- D+ B+ C+ A
DBW is one of those GMs who would take Davis over Drummond so he gets his wish here if Drummond is selected first. The Celtics don't necessarily need another big, but since good bigs are hard to come by its good to have a few. Davis' offensive game is much more polished than Drummond's and should be a better shot blocker and all around better defender. His rebounding is his weakness at C+ but if he has any sort of potential he should be fine in that department. He is definitely the safer pick and Davis could be who goes #1 depending on who wins the lotto.
3. New Orleans Hornets - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF 6'7'' 205 19 B- C C A B- A
The Hornets could go a few ways with this pick. Lillard, Beal and Ross would all be good choices but I like MKG. Already a great defender that can block shots and is a plus rebounder at his position. Could potentially become a PF if he has decent strength and is groomed to be one early on. His weakness is his 3 pt shooting, but he has a good jump shot and inside game so just focus on that. With his defense and rebounding already being great he could be made into a good offensive player as well if camped correctly.
4. Washington Wizards - Bradley Beal SG 6'3'' 207 19 C+ B+ B- C+ C- A
The Wizards already have a lot of young PG and SGs but they aren't very good so I think they keep trying and take Beal here. He had nice notes and I think if he gets his camps and has decent potential he has the chance to become a very, very good SG. I give him the nod over Dame b/c his defense and rebounding is pretty bad, but I don't think Lillard would be a bad pick here.
5. Memphis Grizzlies - Terrance Ross SG 6'6'' 195 21 B- B C- B- C A
Meh terrible spot for me if I end up here and the draft goes this way. Since I don't need Lillard I guess I would go with Ross but I'm not completely sure yet. There wasn't much on him in terms of notes but they suggested he would be a good 3pt shooter and rebounder. Also he had very good upside and shows superb all around promise as an SG. Sounds good to me.
6. Indiana Pacers - Damian Lillard PG 6'2'' 190 21 C+ A- B- C- D+ A
Pacers need a PG and Lillard falls into their lap nicely. He should be a great scorer, but he will struggle a bit on defense. C- defense is a bit harsh so I think Broph made him a great scorer and he will have pretty good potential as well so his defense shouldn't be a HUGE problem.
7. Philadelphia 76ers - Meyers Leonard C 7'0'' 245 20 B- C F+ B- C A
76ers could go with Barnes here if they didn't like Leonard's C rebounding. But his notes suggest he has a good jump shot and should be a good shot blocker. So that ranks him ahead of Barnes on my list. The 76ers need a big so this is a good fit here. Though he is a poor rebounder now it shouldn't be too difficult for him to get to B rebounding.
8. San Antonio Spurs - Thomas Robinson PF 6'9'' 240 21 C+ C- D C+ B A
Spurs have a lot of different options here. Since they don't really need a wing they don't have to draft Barnes though he is probably the best player available at this point. They need a big man so I think they go with Robinson. Notes suggest he has good upside so even if he doesn't become a great shot blocker I think he can end up around 2 per game along with over a steal per game as his notes say he will be able to steal the ball well. He is a really good rebounder and has the tools to be a good offensive player as well. So if he has good upside as his notes suggest and he is camped properly I think he could become a very good big.
9. Denver Nuggets - Harrison Barnes SF 6'8'' 223 20 B- B- C- B- C A
The Nuggets would probably be very happy to get Barnes here. And they need him as their current group of SFs are very mediocre. Good player already doesn't have any holes, but he might not have the potential as some of the guys ahead of him. Though I still think he will be a very good starter unless he just dies in TC.
10. Seattle Super Sonics - Dion Waiters SG 6'4'' 210 20 C+ B B C D+ A
Just a notch below Beal talent wise, but I think Waiters could be very good as well as long as he isn't a turnover whore. Sonics could go a lot of different ways here, but I like Waiters so I would take him he has the chance to be a good scorer.
11. Portland Trail Blazers - John Henson PF 6'11'' 220 21 B- D D C+ C+ A
Henson is a boom, bust type player. He has good shot blocking ability which will give him some value right away, but he will need a lot of work on the rest of his game. He needs to have a few good TCs and camped properly, but I think he could wind up being a starter at the very least in the league.
12. Milwaukee Bucks- Kendall Marshall PG 6'4'' 180 20 C C+ A- C+ C- A
The Jazz are already a good team so they could go a few ways here, but with Davis getting old I think Marshall is a good pick. He isn't going to wow anyone but he is already a very good passer/ball handler so if whoever gets him +8s his inside, jump shot, and 3 pt shot I think Marshall could be a very good starter. Though he will probably never be a great player.
13. Orlando Magic- Arnette Moultrie SF 6'11'' 230 21 B- C+ D+ C+ C A
The Magic don't have a specific need so they too could go a few different ways here. Notes suggest his offense is pretty good and is a plus rebounder at SF. Boom, bust type so it will depend on how he is camped and his first few TCs if he is a good player or not.
