Obviously lots will change with the finished file yet to be released, but this is a great draft and Id like to get the conversation started.
1. Los Angeles Clippers - Andre Drummond C 6'10'' 270 18 B+ D- F+ C+ B+ A -The Clippers only really have 1 guy to build around and thats Chandler Parsons. Parsons is solid, but he isnt a #1 guy or a stud PG or a big time defensive big so the Clippers really need something in that area with this pick. Anthony Davis would be that big time shot blocker, but I think they cant pass on Andre Drummond. His size and athletic ability are rare. His ability to score inside and rebound are rare as well. And hes super young. Hopefully this GM is active and can pump some points into Drummond because hell be raw and have some serious weaknesses in some areas.
2. New Orleans Hornets - Anthony Davis PF 6'10'' 220 19 B C- D+ B+ C+ A - The Hornets already have a super PF in Blake Griffin and a very promising young PF in Tristan Thompson but Anthony Davis just makes too much sense. He can come in and play C despite his thin frame because he can block shots and board. Aar will pump some ACs into his rebounding and make him a super defensive stud. Great pick at 2.
3. Indiana Pacers - Damian Lillard PG 6'2'' 190 21 C+ A- B- C- D+ A - This is where things go sideways. Lillard is a sick PG spect and is a great scorer but he probably isnt rated this high in this draft. Erbes takes Lillard here because he needs a PG bad. Sergio Rodriguez is a SG. He has a great defensive wing in Kawhi Leonard. He has a sick young post scorer in DeMarcus Cousins. Lillard is gonna fit perfect here.
4. Memphis Grizzlies - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF 6'7'' 205 19 B- C C A B- A - The Grizzlies already have possibly the best PG prospect around in Kyrie Irving. Now they need solid pieces that wont make them win too much too soon so they can tank for 3 more years and really be ready to compete. In my opinion that player is Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. While MKGs defensive and rebounding will help win games his lack of offense should mean Memphis is still lottery bound.
5. Washington Wizards - Bradley Beal SG 6'3'' 207 19 C+ B+ B- C+ C- A - The Wizards need as much alent as possible. Here they take the best player available in Beal. he will be a very good young SG and allow DeSean Butler and Gordon Hayward battle it out at SF. beal will probably be Washingtons #1 scorer eventually.
6. Boston Celtics - Harrison Barnes SF 6'8'' 223 20 B- B- C B- C A - Celtics finish their potent front court with Barnes at SF. He has some solid athletic ability along with a nice jump shot. Decent defender to start as well. DBW should AC and RC this guy quick and find out if he is a true 2 way player at SF.
7. San Antonio Spurs - Thomas Robinson PF 6'9'' 240 21 C+ C- D C+ B A - The Spurs have a couple great shooters, now they need to start building their interior players. Robinson isnt your typical PF, he is more of a score first type but he can board and he has upside. Good fit here.
8. Denver Nuggets - John Henson PF 6'11'' 220 21 B D D C+ B- A - Nuggets need some big men so they can rebound and board for their super back court combo. Henson can do a little of both. While undersized he rebbounds well and can block some shots.
9. Philadelphia 76ers - Meyers Leonard C 7'0'' 245 20 B- C F+ B- C A - Sixers need to get more talent while also continuing to lose. Leonard is perfect for that. He is super athletic and fits a need at either PF or C. Dont expect much from him until his 3rd or 4th season. Super raw.
10. Seattle Super Sonics - Kendall Marshall PG 6'4'' 180 20 C C+ A- C+ C- A - Sonics need to upgrade the PG spot badly. Marshall is a very good passer with huge question marks with every other part of his game. If hes ACd and RCd correctly he should be a starting PG one day.
11. Portland Trail Blazers - Terrance Ross SG 6'6'' 195 21 B- B C- B- C A - At this point the Blazers just need more talent. A horrible rebuild job thus far, Ross is another piece that can hopefully be traded for to a rebuilding team for an aging star.
12. Orlando Magic - Jared Sullinger C 6'9'' 280 20 C+ C D B- B+ B - The Magic have a solid young core already, they just need to add some role players. Sullinger is a perfect fit. He isn't athletic but he can bang and rebound. Solid backup big.
13. Utah Jazz (from Milwaukee Bucks) - Austin Rivers SG 6'4'' 203 19 C C+ C C+ D A - The Jazz have a solid team and can afford to take a flyer on someone. Rivers has nice upside but is raw. Hell take some time to develop and maybe some ACs, but he could be good if his upside is real.
