Derrick Williams SF 80 248 20 Arizona B- B D+ C C A Williams is a promising offensive prospect, showing impressive ability to be an inside and outside scoring threat, he has a very nice three point shot, scores inside pretty well, has solid, though not great strength, really appears to have a lot of upside on that side of the ball. The disappointing thing about him though, is his lack of a position defensively. He would probably be better suited as a PF, but doesn’t have the strength to cover down there, and struggles with his D on the perimeter, keeping up with opposing SF’s is probably out of the question too. He is actually a surprisingly good rebounder, he does not attack the offensive glass with any sort of regularity, but does put himself in position to clean up on the defensive end well. His handles are mediocre, and he really is not much of a passer. Classic tweener, but no matter what, should create offensive mismatches at SF
Marcus Morris SF 80 230 21 Kansas B- B- C- C+ C B Markieff Morris PF 81 241 21 Kansas C+ C+ C- B- C+ B Im going to combine the Morris brothers notes, because the two of them compliment each other very well, Marcus is a talented offensive player, who plays well within himself, taking care of the ball and avoiding stupid mistakes. He is a solid athlete, fair strength, and a promising positional defender. What he isn’t though is a stats defender in any way, which is fine, because that’s where Markieff, a Power Forward, makes his living. Lets be fair though, that’s not to say Markieff is a 2 and 2 guy, but the potential is there to be a solid shot blocker. His offense is very raw though, and for whatever reason, Marcus appears to be a far superior athlete, probably due to conditioning, but Markieff is slow, so covering. Markieff shows nice post defensive ability, and is a pretty solid all around rebounder. Scouts question how the brothers would play if on separate teams, but feel that on the same team they are much stronger overall, emphasizing each‘s strengths better, though sometimes at the cost of the other brothers ability in the same area.. (in the event you get both players on the same team before TC, you will be allowed to choose 5 categories. The brother that is better in that category will receive a +10 in that category, but, the other brother will receive a -5 in the same category), to be done AFTER TC.
Kawhi Leonhard SF 79 227 20 San Diego State C+ B C A B- B Leonhard is the ultimate role player, his D in the post and on the perimeter is superb, he has the quickness to cover SG’s as well as SF’s, has a pretty nice jump shot, and solid three point shot, and is an outstanding rebounder. He is one to gamble for steals, but really, its not gambling, its more like hes rigged it, just superb stealing ability, which leads to scoring opportunites going the other way. However, he is also not one to look to score with the ball, instead, he appears to be a bit more of a spot up shooter type. He doesn’t really look to attack the basket, and his strength is mediocre, which means playing him at the four is out of the question really. Not going to be a star, but its believable that he could be a third option type SF with work to his scoring.
Chris Singleton SF 81 230 21 Florida State C C D+ B C B All Singleton is is a defender really, he has some all around defensive ability, with a bit of shot blocking and steals ability, but the offense is pretty putrid. Likely nothing more than a backup. Chandler Parsons SF 82 221 22 Florida C+ B C+ B+ C B Parsons is a lot like Leonard really, but he has better offensive upside, while taking a hit to his defense, especially statistically. He is a really nice three point shooter, but his jump shot is iffy. Defends the post and perimeter well, but appears a bit disinterested in stats D. Nice rebounder, cleans the defensive glass well, though he shows less desire on the offensive end, preferring to get back on Defense to limit transitional opporunites. Also a super passer, and takes pretty good care of the ball.
Tobias Harris SF 80 223 18 Tennessee C+ C+ C C C+ B Harris is raw, but promising, he appears to be a capable low post scoer, and has an excellent jump shot. Very slow, terrible athlete really, and a putrid defender. Good passer, takes care of the ball. Tnot much of a three point threat, strength is pretty weak, makes the thought of him at PF unlikely. Being 18, he is a big time gamble, Boom Bust type.
