Gordon Hayward SF 80 211 20 Butler C+ B C+ C+ C- A Hayward is intriguing. Not really a candidate to go number one, that rebounding combined with his lack of SG ability hurts. Solid athlete, nothing special, solid inside scorer, has a nice jumper, three point shot is solid as well. Good Post defender, but a pretty weak Perimiter defender. Handles arent an issue, not amazing, but not turnover worries. No stats D to speak of. Good upside
Paul George SF 81 214 20 Fresno State C+ B C B C A Paul George probably isnt a number one pick, though it wouldnt be the worst pick, he just doesnt have the same huge upside, nor is he as ready now, but instead he is a safer pick, especially if you work on him early. Nice athlete, solid ability to get at the rim, with a very nice outside game. Defensively he should develop the ability to steal, is a solid rebounder, specifically because of his D rebounding ability. Positional D is a work in progress, but he could turn into very good all around player, though probably not a number one option type, maybe a very good number two.
Wesley Johnson SF 79 206 22 Syracuse C B- C B- C A Risk/Reward type, his stock has fallen pretty hard lately, but he does have one ability everybody covets, he blocks shots really well for an SF. Not Josh Smith type, but should cover 1 a game pretty easy. Takes care of the ball, very good defensive rebounder, with no interest in rebounding at the offensive end. Positional D is mediocre, outside game is developing, but not there. The big knock is he is too tentative, doesn't seem to want to attack the hoop.
Landry Fields SF 79 210 22 Stanford B- C C+ B C B hey remember when Skillz rated him like B+ B+ C A- B+ coming out at 26 last BBS? yeah not happening here. Fields is a specialty player, he isnt going to be a star, but he is a real nice positonal defender, solid strength and inside ability. OUtside game is mediocre at best. Real nice rebounder, yet again, especially defensively. Upside is just solid. Smart player, glue guy, would probably make a real nice backup 1-3
Jeremy Evans SF 81 196 22 Western Kentucky C+ C- C C+ B+ C Evans is a hustle guy, great rebounder, but if you draft him to start him, know that you are drafting just the rebounding. Defensively he isnt very good, nothing better than average. No outside game, just a decent jumper. Strength is underwhelming, no inside game really, but a really good athlete. Upside is limited
Pape Sy SF 78 185 22 France C C B C B- C Allowed to play PG while remaining at SF, which makes him more interesting no?... Solid handles for a PG, would get torched on the perimeter, but a good post defender, not a threat offensively at all. Pretty much a role playing PG to help your rebounding, upside is limited.
