1. First and foremost and no offense meant, who are you? Seem familiar but I have no idea. Tell me about yourself.
I'm Jiggy, who the fuck are you? Nah, j/k. I'm Steve, 37, Pisces. I'm married to a lovely, stacked Mexican named Alicia (ahh-lee-cee-ahh) and have a badass 5 year-old named Ronan. He has great taste in music (his faves are the Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, Foster the People and Passion Pit) and is a 0.00% GAA Soccer goalie. Also gets Karate promotions left and right because his san-chin (sp.?) is pretty masterful. As for me, I sang in bands for 15+ years with minor success. I also played (illegal) poker for a few years as a sole source of income, but since the baby, I've been managing restaurants and writing fiction.

2. I like me some David Lee. Do you think he is that legit or is he just putting up those numbers because your team sucks balls?
The stats are definitely inflated, but it's hard to tell how much because of the upward trajectory he's been on over the years. I do think he's legit though--probably a 20-10 guy on a normal team. His FT/Mid is awesome and I think he could be an option in any kind of offense.
3. Upon further examination, I love Thabo. Please give him to me. What kind of player do you think he can be in the league? Is he a part of your long term plans?
I think he can border on being special because, as some saw, FBB switched him to PG in preseason and he kept both his A defense and C+ rebounding while putting up nearly 20ppg with C+ C+ scoring grades. Spencer said his handles shouldn't be a problem with the -25, so yeah...he's my PG of the future. Drop a +25 into him and I think he'll be bomb.

4. You have a decent amount of posts, but I don't actually see much of you. Put your BBS tenure so far into words for me.
Eww...do I have to? As for the posts, I tend to post mostly in off-topic threads because I feel like there's a lot of hatin' as far as actual BBS teams and players and trades and GMs go. I don't like hatin' and don't respond well to it...to say the least. I don't like getting into it with other dudes in fuckin' online forums about a game that we're supposed to enjoy. Obviously, I have had issues with people, but I try to keep it to a minimum and always make an attempt not to harbor shit. Nor do I want other people harboring shit against me. I'm here for fun and I want it to be fun for everyone. Plus I don't know a lot of these guys as well as some GMs, so I can't sense sarcasm as well as I should be able to. I try to stay out of the shit as much as possible. As for my GMing skills, I feel that my 2004 co-GMOTY was really unwarrented. I got KG...big whoop. That trade turned out to be awful for me. My big problem is that I fall in love with players and with concepts. Because I had success in the past doing things differently, I'm always trying to do things differently now. But in the past, gimmicky shit was allowed. I could stick Sheed at SG and get 26 ppg from him. I never learned the proper way to do things. As a whole, right now...I'm mediocre at best. But I'm trying to change that...to change my philosophy.

5. So I have been drinking while I am working on the draft file for my league, what is your opinion on the drafts here in BBS in general?
I like them. I think Spence does a great job in sticking to his lowered ratings philosophy. An A defender should mean something. I like that there isn't a perfect player that will just guarantee success for whoever has him.
6. Speaking of drinking, how often do you partake, if at all? And when you do, do you frequently hop on an online sim league and cause shenanigans?
I do drink here and there, but I'm a bud guy at heart...always have been. I was actually a judge at the 2000 Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. And no, I don't cause a ruckus when I've had a bit to drink. I'm not one that loses his facilities very much when drunk, so even when I do post in that condition, nobody would be able to tell. I'm too much of a happy drunk. I was pretty tipsy last night when I tried to direct Habes to a sad song (because of the unrequited crush) even though I'd been absolutely ripshit with him like 2 days before. When I'm inebriated and happy, I want everyone else to be happy too. I was a raver in the 90's and the whole philosophy was that the collective vibe was only as good as the saddest/grumpiest link. The drugs have gone, but I still feel that way.

7. It looks like you've just entered the rebuild (checking your CY), what is the time frame you are hoping for to compete again. How are you planning to accomplish this? What is your backup plan if that fails?
Outlawz and I had a backroom agreement that I'd trade back for my 07, 08 and 09 for picks further down the line. But he got the boot, and when the KG deal went sour, I could only get back my 08 and 09, so I have one less year to get it done. Having a bunch of picks in this deep-ass draft will help a lot, and I feel that Thabo @ PG and Lee down low is a good starting point. Plus I feel like this game (FBB) is all math. I've come up with a formula for ranking players, so I feel like when I'm not in a desperate situation, I can use it to pick up a couple of under the radar type players to supplement whatever the product of my rebuild turns out to be. Then, I hope my cap yields me something significant. My backup plan is to scrape by, reset and try again. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, and I really feel like I have a firmer grasp on what works, and that the gimmicky bullshit is behind me.

8. If you had to pick one team to switch with, what team would it be and why?
Tough question, but I'd have to go with the Nuggs. I definitely like what's going on in Chicago, Utah and Boston, but I feel that the Nuggets are in a position to be right there every year for the forseeable future. Dirk, Marion and Roy is fucking sick.

9. How highly do you value David Lee, being that he's been in the league for a few seasons? Is he a part of your long term plans, or would you prefer to deal him?
I value him highly because I feel that he could be a factor in just about any offensive scheme, which lets me focus on drafting/acquiring the best players I can instead of worrying about whether or not they mesh with Lee, who I desperately want to keep. That said, if I can package Lee with other assets to get a more dominant player I will in a heartbeat. I feel that Lee's offensive versatility is a luxury, but he's not a dominant player. In reality, he's a 2nd option at best and even that might be a stretch. But I love the guy.
10. If you could change one thing around here what would it be and why?
Less negativity. I feel like some of the assholes in this league aren't really assholes IRL, but the like...anonymity of not being face to face with people causes them to act a fool at will. I'm sure some of them are actually assholes, but probably not as many as one might think. I actually read an article for psych class about trolling and why people troll. It hypothesized that, for the most part trolls are, in a nutshell, people who are too scared to vent their anger and negativity IRL because they fear consequences. I'm not saying it's true, but it's an interesting thought, which makes quite a bit of sense.

11. List your 5 least favorite GMs and why?
In no particular order...
1) Svedda. Don't know too much about him, but hearing the whole holocaust picture shit really turned me off to him. It's like, what the fuck is wrong with you?
2) Game. Grow the fuck up. You all know what I mean. Definitely gave me a hard time about a trade I made last version when my back was up against the wall and then proceeded to suck himself. Glad he's gone
3) DJMyte. Useless. Responded to a trade block in which I asked for specific things for a player, then accused me of trying to rip him off. The price was clear, and I didn't figure I'd get what I was loking for, but like...don't fucking respond and tell me that Daniel Gibson is some major player that isn't worth an A- B big.
4) Marty. Ohhh Marty... He makes himself seem like such a fucking asshole, but I just can't believe it to be true. Nobody can be filled with that much hatred and hate everything about everything. I honestly think (or maybe force myself to think) that in his periods of inactivity, he's spending extra time volunteering at a soup kitchen, or something.
5) Skillz. Out of jealousy. I hated getting jedi mind-tricked into trading him KG, but it made soooo much sense at the time. I also hate that he's not thriving right now and I have his pick. I'll get excited, and then he'll Qui-Gon somebody and go on a 20 game winning streak. Fucker.

12. Of those least favorite GMs, which one would you want to meet in person and what would you do?

13. How do you feel about Spencer? What kind of steak would you want him to cook you?
Without trying to sound like a nut-swinger, I appreciate the fuck out of what he does for us. If I were him, I'd have told everyone to go fuck themselves by now. As far as steak goes--and this is gonna sound really un-American--I'm not a big fan of it. I've had kobe and wagyu and all of that, but it does nothing for me. It'd have to be something latin-inspired...maybe machaca, or some kind of heavily-seasoned skirt-steak dish because that pure beef taste is no good for me.

14. Who is your target in this upcoming draft and why?
If I was lucky enough to snag the first overall pick, I'd go back and forth between Rose and Love. I think both can be dominant, but I'd probably go with Rose and stick him at SG for a couple of years. Love would be great too, but if I'm hanging onto Lee, I'd want a bigger defensive presence alongside him. Then again, I could very well take Love, grab a defensive big with one of my other firsts and put Lee back into a 6th man role. Who the hell knows?

15. What trade do you feel like has helped a team the most this season and why?
Not a major deal, but you can't argue with your aquistion of Barea. What are you like, 15-1 since that deal? There. There's your handjob.

16. What is your favorite real life NBA team? Tell me about them. How do you feel they will do this year?
Celtics. I'm from Boston and we bleed Green in these parts. I'm old as fuck, so I was there for Bird, McHale, Parrish, etc. Then...there was nothing for a loooooong time. Len Bias dropped dead. Reggie Lewis dropped dead. Dino Radja was meh. Antoine Walker was painful to watch. I dunno....it just sucked. I was a madman when they won it all a few years back and honestly, after sucking for so long, I'm just happy to be relevent at this point. I think we have nice depth to compliment our aging front line. If we can gel a bit, I don't think ECF is out of the question, but I don't think we have what it takes to go all the way.

Still Tim Duncan, though Kobe has closed the gap quite a bit. I think TD still has tremendous value even though he's 31. His stat line is still "are you fucking kidding me?" And the turnovers--his only real weakness in the past--are waaaaay down, which makes him even more valuable than he was in past MVP seasons. Can't really say what I'd trade for him though because I don't have shit and I'm trying to lose, but if I was looking to win, I'd be at DB's house (which is only a mile away, btw) with a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine in a minute.
