As shall be tradition, before we look towards this year's retiring class, the one player that didn't get in last season will have one more shot to get in. Remember, 10 votes and they are in. 2 votes per person.

Rashard Lewis
2009 - All-Star Game Participant
2011 - 3-Point Shootout Champion
Award Breakdown: 1 Time All-Star, 1 Time 3pt Shootout Champ
Career Averages: 927 Career Games, 22.7 ppg (20,765 career points), 6.2 rpg (5,729 career rebounds), 2.4 apg (2,225 career assists)
Definitely the long shot of the new group but don't let that fool you. Rashard was always a capable scorer, including two seasons over 25 ppg. Rashard played for 5 teams (Wizards, Sonics, Bulls, Celtics and Blazers) but his best season was obviously his lone season in Chicago where he averaged 27 ppg on 51% shooting. Rashard was always considered a solid role guy and great 2nd option but showed how good he can be when he was given his chance. He was definitely more of a scorer then anything else. He was also never part of a title team which will surly hurt him in the voting.
and now, the new class

The GOAT. A winner. Plain and simple. As is, most definitely the longest and most impressive list of awards won. Tim Duncan came into the league and immediately started winning with Shaq, creating an amazing front court. Duncan won 2 titles with the Celtics (2003 and 2006). Duncan then won back to back titles in 2012 and 2013, the first with the Suns and next with the Kings. All this winning aside Duncan himself was a hell of a player. A double double machine, he owns the record for most double doubles in a season (71) and career (754). He also owns the record for rpg in a season (14.3). Duncan never had a season where he averaged under 10.5 rpg and had 3 seasons where he averaged 14 rpg or more. Tim Duncan was capable of it all. He can score, rebound and pass. He was an anchor on D. It's going to be a long time before any player is able to pass the legacy Duncan is leaving behind. As of right now, the BBS GOAT has retired.

Baron Davis

2004 - All-League Third Team
2004 - All-Defensive Second Team

2006 - All-Star Game Participant
2006 - All-League First Team
2007 - All-Star Game Participant
2010 - All-Star Game Participant
2011 - All-Star Game Participant
2011 - All-League Second Team
Award Rundown: 6 Time All-Star, 1 Time All-BBS First Team, 3 Time All-BBS Second Team, 1 Time All-BBS Third Team, 3 Time Defensive Second Team
Career Averages: 995 Games Played, 22.8 ppg (22,686 Career Points), 8.5 apg (8,458 Career Assists), 5.4 rpg (5,373 Career Rebounds)
Don't let the tail end of Davis' career fool you. He was one of the best PG's in the league for a while. Davis averaged over 20 ppg for 10 straight seasons. During this strech he never averaged less then 45% shooting from the field. He was also a very capable passer, averaging over 9 apg in 6 of those seasons. To top it off, he was one of the best rebounding PG's around, averaging over 5 rpg in all 10 seasons. His turnovers were an issue early on but they were workable past his 2nd season. One thing that may hurt Baron is the fact that he jumped from team to team often. He never stayed in one spot for more then 3 seasons at a time. Baron Davis made his lone finals appearance in 2011 playing for the Utah Jazz in what may be considered his best career year (27/10/6 on 49% shooting). While Baron never really had consistent playoff success, it's tough to knock the individual talent that he showed off.

Kevin Garnett
2003 - All-Star Game Participant
2004 - All-Star Game Participant
2004 - All-League Third Team
2005 - All-Star Game Participant
2006 - All-Star Game Participant
2009 - All-Star Game Participant
Award Rundown: 5 Time All-Star, 1 Time All-BBS Third Team
Career Averages: 884 Games Played, 15.7 ppg (13,879 Career Points), 10.6 rpg (9,371 Career Rebounds), 4.6 apg (4,067 Career Assists)
When you think KG, you think ratings. KG was a man with some sick ratings. Stats weren't bad either. There's not that many players that can say they've put up 5 consecutive seasons of over 17 ppg, 11 rpg and 5 apg along with a steal and block. Not to mention 3 consecutive seasons of over 22 ppg, 11 rpg and 5 apg with a steal and block per game. What's the issue you may ask? Well, KG was always destined for more it seemed but never lived up to it. While he can score, the shooting percentages just were never good. He also turned it over a good amount for a big man. KG was able to win a ring with the Magic in 2007. KG was definitely a good player. He just never played up to his ratings. Yet, he's still here. Says a lot about how good he was and likely should've been.
bbs56.net/BBSFive/players/player145.htm
Pau Gasol
2005 - All-League Third Team
2007 - All-Star Game Participant
2008 - All-Star Game Participant
Award Rundown: 2 Time All-Star. 1 Time All-BBS Third Team
Career Averages: 1,007 Games Played, 19.2 ppg (19,335 Career Points), 10.2 rpg (10,473 Career Rebounds), 3.3 apg (3,324 Career Assists)
Pau was a rock. You knew what you were getting out of him every time he played. Gasol is a career 19/10 player but he had 8 seasons where he averaged over 20/10, his best being 25.3 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 2.4 bpg. Gasol wasn't just a scorer/rebounder. He is a career 1.7 bpg guy, including 4 seasons over 2 bpg. Gasol's biggest issue may have been turnovers. 2.7 career tpg for a big is not something you like to see. Gasol's other issue is that he was never really "the man". He had a tendency to play second fiddle on teams. That obviously never hurt Gasol when it came to winning, as he made 4 finals (3 with the Rockets, one with the Grizzlies) and won 2 titles with the Rockets (09 and 10) and one title with the Grizzlies (2014). Gasol may have never been Batman but he was one of the best Robin's around.
