1. Milwaukee Bucks - Andrew Wiggins SG 6'7'' 200 19 B- B- C+ B- C A
The Bucks are the worst team by far for the 2nd year in a row and after that fiasco last year they really need to hit a home run this year with their pick. Wiggins seems to be the consensus #1 in this unique draft class, so the Bucks really need to stay at #1. His notes say he can do it all. Score from anywhere, gets steals and blocks, rebound and even get a good amount of assists. The only negative really was he may have a slight handling issue. Which could be a problem, but if he has the potential he should that should fix itself. And his notes also mentioned he has low strength but that isn't a big deal at all at SG. May limit his effectiveness at SF somewhat though.
2. Chicago Bulls - Nerlens Noel PF 6'11'' 225 20 B D+ C- B+ C+ A
And for the 2nd year in a row the Bulls are the projected #2 pick. Which may be the worst spot to be in as #2 seems to most often be the team to drop, at least the past few seasons. I didn't think Noel would be my #2, but after really looking at the notes he is. No one else really jumps out and since he can block and steal he will always be valuable. His rebounding is average right now, but it should be a high C+. With his leaping ability once he gets the technique down his rebounding will be fine. Very raw on offense, but B inside could mean he has some potential there, but I doubt it probably just all quickness and jumping. But if there is enough inside scoring and he has enough potential he could give u some points with the great defense.
3. Toronto Raptors - Nate Templeton C 6'8'' 285 22 C B+ A- C B+ A
I'm sure some won't agrees with this, but considering the other choices are guys who have no business going 3rd overall in most drafts I feel like whoever has the 3rd pick should take a chance on Nate. I know most outside bigs don't work out but I feel like Spence gave him 100 potential. And the Raptors are in the first year of their rebuild so they can afford to take a chance considering there really isn't a much better choice out there. Going to be a great shooter for a big man, can pass and doesn't turn it over and also already a great rebounder.. Problem is he has C inside and defense which is harsh, but that's usually what improves most for a big man in TC. So with proper camps and high potential I think this guy has a great chance to be really, really good.
4. New Orleans Hornets - Jimmy Murphy PG 5'10'' 175 22 C C A C D A
I'm not a huge fan of Murphy, but since a few different guys could go here and the Hornets seem to like him I will put him here. You should get what you see with Murphy. He is going to take care of the ball extremely well and be at the top of the league in assists as well. Problem is, the rest of his game is pretty bad. Doesn't really score, defend or rebound at all right now. I think he needs to have high potential to have long term success as a starter on a good team. But since no one else jumps out and the Hornets are just starting to rebuild they can take a chance on Murphy. Though this wouldn't necessarily be my pick here I can definitely see why a team would want him.
5. Golden State Warriors - Erik Osgood C 7'6'' 289 20 B- D+ C- B B- B
Osgood's notes sounded exactly like Zeller's did. And after the season he is having I don't see why Osgood isn't very high on people's list. Though there may be some guys with higher potential, Osgood is the best player available. And if you do what I did last year and camp him out before TC he could be on his way to a stud like Zeller. The size is great obviously and he is your prototype center, he can score inside, block shots, rebound and is very strong. I could see why the Warriors take a guy like Brody Weller or Vadim Yakimov here, but I like Osgood a lot and think he should go here.
6. Los Angeles Lakers - Vadim Yakimov SG 6'8'' 185 19 C+ C C- A C A
There is a good chance that this pick gets traded as it looks like the Lakers are going to try and win next season. Few different guys to choose from here, but I would go with Yakimov. Going to give you tons of steals and blocks and is going to be a great rebounder at SG. Offense is raw, but definitely has a chance to be in that 10-15 ppg range as a 4th-5th starter and with that defense that is all you need. Just surround him with good scorers obviously.
7. Miami Heat - Brody Weller SG 6'4'' 203 21 B- C+ B- B- C+ A
The Heat are in the first year of their rebuild under new GM gp. They would like to have a higher pick obviously, but since the draft is so wide open imo they should still end up with someone good. And this is where Weller comes off the board imo, though he could definitely go a lot higher. The only reason I didn't have him going a little higher is because I feel like he will have handling issues even though he has B-. Which is a complete guess really since his notes didn't mention anything. So if you don't think he will have handling issues he should go way higher as the rest of his game is really good.
8. Cleveland Cavaliers - Gavin Hunt PF 6'7'' 257 19 A- D+ D C+ C+ C
The Cavaliers are a little shocked I'm sure to find themselves here. But when you have no depth and you don't try to make your team better this is what you get. They are lucky to have their pick at least I thought they had traded it away. The Cavs want to get their 15 pick back and rebuild so they will probably be looking to pick someone with upside. Since all the guys with upside suck I think they should go with Gavin Hunt. C scouted potential but that only effects his trade value really. His inside and strength is through the roof. And C+ defense and rebounding at 19 is nice should be able to get to B in both at least and since he should be a beast inside that will be good enough. Looks and sounds a lot like Eddy Curry.
9. Seattle Supersonics - Tyson Malone SF 6'7'' 216 22 B C D+ B+ C B
The Sonics should be looking to take a win now player and to me that is Malone. Again similar to Zeller last year and Osgood this year, teams should know by now. Most of the time guys who are already good>>>>>>>>>>>scrubs with potential. Malone could already start for a few teams, including the Sonics. If whoever gets him camps him right away and he has even a decent TC this guy could be a stud. Looks to be in the mold of Tucker and Cunningham. Not going to have a lot of potential obviously, but with a +25 he could be B+ C+ D+ A- C B. Any slight improvement in TC and he could be the rookie of the year
10. Minnesota Timberwolves - Anatoly Rientizis C 7'5'' 325 20 C D F C A- A
I thought the Twolves should have traded away Johnson and Blair to lose as much as they can but they didn't, so I have no idea what they will do here either. So I will just give them the best player available imo of course. And to me that is Anatoly. With the rebounding of this dude he will be a great backup right away. 20 years old and should have good potential as well. The rest of his game is shit which is why he doesn't go higher, but the defense should come around at least. Going to take up a lot of space with his size as well. If his defense ever gets up to B then he could potentially be a stater since his rebounding should be high A in his prime if not A+.
11. Utah Jazz - Ernie Skinner C 6'11'' 275 20 B- D+ D- B- B- B
Not sure what the Jazz plan on doing next year. If they decide to rebuild they will probably go with a high potential guy. But Ill just give them best player available. Skinner is basically Osgood without the blocks. Going to be a good inside scorer and rebounder. Needs his camps I think, but with those he could be a good starter and at the very least a really good backup. He just needs to not have negative training camps and he will be fine.
12. Los Angeles Clippers - Alec Pierce SF 6'9'' 216 20 B- B- C- B- C B
I think the Clippers are in their contract year next year, so if they don't trade the pick they will be looking to take the best player available. And Pierce is definitely that guy at 12. Has the ratings to go a little higher and had good notes until the part where he may be a solid backup wing. Which is a big turn off since probably means low potential. But similar to Zeller and a few of the guys in this draft, if he gets his camps before TC and has a slight bump in TC and he could be really good. If he doesn't get his camps he could bust right away though lol.
13. New York Knicks via Indiana Pacers - Jermaine Reed PG 6'2'' 188 19 C+ C+ C C D+ A
A team with LeBron, Wade and Yao doesn't need a lotto, but that's what the Knicks get from the shitty Pacers. Knicks will probably go into rebuild mode after this year, so I think they take a chance on Reed. Had pretty good notes any time the draft maker describes you as bonerific thats a good thing I guess lol. Notes say his potential is through the roof and it needs to be since his game is pretty bad right now. Would be fun to +25 him right away and see what he does in TC. PGs always have the best TCs so if he does have 100 potential he could be really good.
