1. Habes! HI! Recently, I posted a number of times and said that you should be fired. What happened to your activity?
Damn, sorta hammers your point home that I only saw one of those posts, lol.
I've been swamped! I've been through something like 30 interviews, which meant like hundreds of hours of preparation, I've had to go to Houston and Dallas, had to move, had to deal with four intense classes and a time-consuming journal. I dunno, for the first time in like seven years, there were days where I just didn't even remember BBS. That's sad.
And then I didn't fucking get a job, so I've been hustling to try to line something up. That's been pretty draining and a really fucking bad feeling. And school picked up, my journal is pretty demanding, so overall it's just been a busy and lousy period. I let it get to me more than I should and now I'm snapping out of it and trying to make that emotional connection with my team
I mean I get that no one's earned a right to neglect their spot here. I always had in mind that things would slow down and I'd get back into BBS. It of course doesn't hurt that I got CP3. I'd probably lead the charge against a guy who didn't make his creation draft picks and dropped three slots for not sending a list in the first round. People have been nice to me though. Or really they're just ignoring me. Except for Nanz and CC
2. Can we still be friends?

3. You just got a huge jolt with Chris Paul. How good you think think CP3 will be, and when is it time for the Sixers to start winning?
Feel like You just got a huge jolt with Chris Paul is a great name for a TV show.
CP3 will probably be the best PG in the league, right? I need to make sure his three-point shooting comes along so I can get a system going.
The only really interesting thing I can say about this is that next year is my Contract Year and there's a worst case scenario in which I need to trade Paul. That wil suck, so honestly I want to make sure I get a nice 'spect out of this year's pick. I should have huge cap, though, and I don't think it'll be too hard to beat the CY and keep Paul.
4. You just traded Tony Parker for Gerald Wallace. Obviously, trading Parker made sense after the Paul arrival, but did you expect to get more out of Tony? What other offers did you get? How good do you think Parker will be?
Yeah, I had a lateral move in mind and I made one. Insofar as I got any other offers, there just distant firsts. I tried for Varejao and got ignored. Nothing else notable.
I'm not complaining. Parker is the kind of guy I'd float interest in and hope to get cheap, too.
5. Ben Gordon is scoring a lot. And by a lot, i mean 28.6 ppg as of 11:29 ET 9/27/2012. How do you rank him among the top SG's in the league?
He's second tier. Obviously not on the level of Kobe or Redd. I think the more interesting point with him is that he'd have incredible value with a different name. To my eyes he's a surefire superstar. 49/86/41 as a rookie, skyrocketed in his second TC, has serious volume scoring, and he gets steals. All that's left to do is put points in his handling. Like, I bet some guys value Monta more than BG, and that's crazy to me.
6. Greeme offers you Kobe for Paul. Do you accept? Give me your top 5 value guys in the league.
I'd love to, but I wouldn't. I just haven't put anything in place to make that kinda deal, and I'd end up wasting Kobe. I can tell you Paul's young, PG's so important, he'll be the best there, etc. but it's really just about fit. I'd do that deal in a heartbeat if I thought I could make use of Kobe.

7. The Celtics and Suns have squared off in the finals twice now, both winning 1 title. DBW and Skillz seem to have a feud. Who is the better GM? (is it kosher o ask questions about myself? Sorry everyone)
This one's close, but I'd go DBW. I know it's less and less of a narrative with Skillz that he's liable make silly moves, but DBW is just so consistently on-point with his moves IMO. I'd probably put him above Aar and Broph, too, if that's worth anything.
8. After two years of rebuilding, the Rockets sit atop the Western Conference. Are they the best team in the West? Could they be the best team in the league?
Nah. Nice team with a lot of contributors, but I think Boston has them dominated in star power. There aren't a ton of stacked teams, and Houston is pretty good at a lot of things. I do think they're the best team in the West, but that's not saying much.
9. Aar just quit, citing lack of interest. Is it a bitch move to quit while your team sucks when we know aar will come back to a better situation and be active in a matter of months?
meh bitch move is a dumb phrase
I can't really take my focus off the fact that the best possible outcome for the league is to have Aar active long term. If he has to quit for a few months to make that happen, fine. I mean I can relate to where he is right now, and I'm sort of over the idea of beating up on a guy for not being loyal to the league or quitting when things get rough. He's been open about that, it's relatable, and I can't get riled up when I know he'll be back and active soon.
10. Have you ever considered quitting lately? Will we ever see super-active Habes again?
Spence came to me with the idea of replacing me, but he seemed kind of reluctant about it. I'm not quitting, and I'm going to be plenty active. Things come up, but my longest busy stretch is out of the way, and if I'm in school it means I'm at my computer constantly. I'll be really active I'm sure, but hopefully less emotional lolol I used to be an angry fella It'd be really nice if Insane would start chatting with me
11. You are GAME for a second (sorry, it sucks I know). You've had Pierce, Iverson, and Webber for three seasons. You want to make one last run at potentially reaching the finals. What do you do? Who do you trade?
There's no run to make! C'mon! Pierce and Webber are the kind of shit I'm talking about. I wouldn't deal Gordon for BOTH those guys! Like it sounds hot to say you have Pierce, Webber, and AI, but C-Webb blows and Pierce is average. Where's the volume! I like GAME a lot.
12. Erbes has had Marion and VC on his roster for three seasons and has failed to put anything around them; Dj has been accumulating assets without trading for three seasons. Who is the better GM? (man that was a weird question)
DJ. WTF. Jeff has literally no track record and is clearly unable to take a team over the top. He's also a shockingly organized kid, but I have to say there's nothing funnier than having a fucking printout that tells you what channel ESPN or Comedy Central is. Do you really not trust yourself to remember that?

13. Predict the NBA Knicks record this season. Were you mad when we let Lin go? Will we finish higher than the Nets?
49-33. I could see it being a little better even. I don't think the Nets finish above .500.
Yeah I wish they'd kept Lin. They need to be getting hammered for not having any fucking foresight with their cap situation. People act like luxury tax problems fell on them out of nowhere when holy shit, they fucking wasted their Amnesty Clause on an expiring contract; holy shit, they signed two late 30-year-olds to 3 year deals. I mean those are inexcusable moves. That said, I do think the luxury tax concerns were a massive cop out to just let Lin go because they didn't believe in him. And that's pathetic because what assets do they think they have? Amar'e's value going forward is pretty much as a massive expiring in three years. It's Melo and Chandler. Shumpert has nowhere near the ball skills to lose his athleticism and still be seriously valuable.
I mean, IDK. I think their ceiling is a second-round out, they let their biggest fan attraction walk, and Jason Kidd is one of the worst people in the NBA. If it weren't for Tyson Chandler I don't know if I'd care about this team at all.

I didn't care about this at all tbh. Could've watched and loved football just as much. Umps are horrible in the MLB, nobody shuts up about NBA refs giving stars call, and yet we still love those sports. Wasn't gonna ruin the NFL season for me if a buncha scab creeps kept at it.
15. BBS5 will last how many seasons?
40. It will hit its stride in no time. I love that feeling when a league first hits its stride, so I'm excited about that. Probably the only risk is FBB2/Repole's program, but otherwise I don't think this will end up any different from previous versions.
I'm dogsitting for my friend and I just took his dogs out to shit and it's like, did you guys not get it all out? Smells horrible in here.
