Arsenal is the ultimate feeder squad, and I don't even feel sorry for them because Wenger's a fool.

Wenger managed some legendary teams... he's not immune to all criticism but he's a great manager. Not to mention that alot of the problems with Arsenal these days has to do with the board and not Wenger.
And as much as everyone likes to shit on the Gunners these days, their still a perennial top 4 team, for something like 12+ years. That's an incredible feat.... can't say the same for Liverpool, or even Chelsea.

That's an incredible feat.... can't say the same for Liverpool, or even Chelsea. You see, I currently live like 15mins walk away from the Emirates and I know a lot of Arsenal fans round here that say the same thing.... perennial top 4 team... Champs League football every season... etc. but imo that's just a way of covering up for the fact that they haven't gone that extra mile. If I were an Arsenal fan I'd be disappointed that what you mentioned was all we managed to do in recent years. I mean come on, a club that size with such an amazing stadium and great history should really be pushing further than that. Fans should not have to settle for just a top four finish and CL football, they should want to win. It's all about silverware. Top 4 isn't good enough, CL semi's aren't good enough. Gotta be winning trophies, and honestly, that's why I believe so many stars at Arsenal leave. They don't mind getting shit wages compared to worse players at other teams, so long as they're winning trophies. But if they're not winning, they leave. The club, imo, hasn't got enough ambition to change that mentality.

I agree with everything you said. Standards should be higher, its Arsenal. I think too much of the blame is shifted on Wenger. He can only work with what the board gives him.

I get in to arguments at work about it all the time lol. In our team we have 3 United fans and 2 Arsenal fans and we always have the banter, but as much as the Gunners fans want to say they are consistently at a certain level, the argument back always is that the level isn't good enough and I think Wenger does deserve some flak for it. He wants to build his team's business model in a prehistoric fashion. It's admirable that he wants to stick to his wage structure and focus on nurturing young talent, but bottom line is that fans get pissed off being so close yet so far from silverware.

I'm guessing this question is open to anybody? Well it all started in 2004. I wasn't a huge soccer fan or even a small soccer fan, but damn the World Cup can change you. So there I was a man without a country. Well I'm American, but let's get real. So perusing the games I decided France might be a good team to cheer for. It looked they had pace and yeah maybe I was bandwagoning a bit. But damn, Thierry Henry was the man. Found out he played for Arsenal and I've been a loyalist ever since.
That's me in a nutshell.
