Durant winning MVP will be bad but at least not as bad as Rose in 2011. Or Nash in 06 You can't be serious.

Nash deserved both. Sent from my Atrix using ProBoards Its pretty debatable. I've always personally hated that 55+ wins seems to be a generally standard prerequisite for MVP consideration. www.basketball-reference.com/teams/LAL/2006.htmlTell me that team had any business winning 45 games in a very competitive western conference.

Harden is amazing. Teams are going to need to find a way to not foul when he does that thing with the ball above his head driving into the defender.

I know that Kobe was leading a D-League squad to the playoffs and what he was doing was amazing BUT Nash turned a 29-win team into a 62-win (they had Marion, Amare, JJ, Barbosa, D'Antoni and were utter garbage).. After Nash won his first MVP, many people questioned whether or not Nash was deserving and cited Amare's emergence as the reason why the Suns won. They lost Amare and the team was still in contention for a title. Kobe was the best player in the league but with Kobe, that Laker team had zero shot at a title. Nash was the most valuable.

I said only one. Nash was awesome, but Kobe was just better. a top seed shouldn't be a prerequisite for MVP

Kobe and Shaq having the combined number of MVP's as Nash sums up the MVP award voting really.

its gotta fit the narrative. its why LeBron will unjustly be dethroned (again) despite being the best player in the world.
honestly if anyone is going to take MVP from him, I'd like it to be CP3.

on a side note, am I the only one afraid to take these Clippers serious? CP3 is my fav. player but I can't help but feel they're gonna get squashed in the playoffs.. am I the only one feeling this way?

its called the Most VALUABLE Player award not the BEST player in the league award.
LeBron is the 2nd best player in the league anyway...He's also the most overrated defender in the past decade.

and I understand the distinction. Kobe was more valuable that year, IMO. is being the best, and most valuable, not allowed? it sometimes seems like it honestly.
