Umm, no.

I ran a successful FBB league that people like to take shots at - especially people who have never been in the league and would have no standing to make such claims.

It was a good league.

The people who won were the ones who spent the most time on their team (doing articles, etc. for PP). Those GMs also became the most respected and involved so it was natural that they'd join the committee as others had to step down from that much involvement (but still remained in the league.)

We always had 6-8 people on the committee and probably as many as 12-15 people had simmed in Global for some duration. There were a lot of people involved and a lot of people had access to check the file. No one ever accused anyone in the league of cheating and we've only been hearing about this non-sense coming out of other leagues who had GMs that we fired because they were inept.

I would expect something like that happened here. I'm not saying "None/rcc" had been fired from ABCA but he was obviously tainted against us by someone who had.

Again (and hopefully for the last time) we have 20-25 constant GMs who asked for this league to come back. They missed the competition - I'm sure you can all appreciate that. I don't think people would run back to a league if they felt their time was wasted on a fixed league.

People come to BBS because the GM can not also be the simmer so there is no worries about "cheating."

Funny how no one gets on ABAvNBA where the same thing happened. Most leagues I've scouted the people with the most posts (usually the commish) have the most wins/titles.

PP/upgrades set people apart. You are able to improve your young players cheaply early in their career which is probably why a lot of their young players got better. They used the upgrades they earned wisely.

Seriously, dude, I'd rather not get into this with you because it's always the same but people only remember what they want to remember.

We have a lot of GMs who have been with us for years and years. If they suspected cheating they'd have left. Over 15 GMs came out of sim retirement to participate in this league. I don't think they would if they felt their previous years had been wasted playing in a crooked league. If you don't have first hand knowledge (or substantial proof) I'd ask you to not soil the reputation of others who you hardly/don't know.

I would rather hearsay not ruin an introduction to a league (to potential new members) that is brand new and will be the official league of FBB3.

Do you think MUNS and HR would want to tie FBB3 to a commish or league that's supposeduly "known" for cheating?

They came to me because they had first-hand experience being in my leagues and knew I ran a good league with good people. I'd say that speaks volumes about the value of the ABCA leagues - which has been built on the backs of many GMs, not just mine. We've had dozens of simmers over the years - I've just make sure the league stays in line while I find new GMs - I don't even sim and haven't since the first couple years of GlobalABCA back in 2009.

So please, drop the cheating angle. It didn't happen.

i was in the league at once and saw all of that first hand. You came here to try and advertise your own league and then get offended when people who were in the league tell them what to expect from their own experience.

That's awesome. I applaud Spencer for doing that. I think it is a smart move.

It's just not something I am interested in doing especially with the new FBPB3 which opens it up to GMs even more than FBB did. It's much more transparent and the GMs have the same info available to them as the commish so there is no need to worry about that.

I also think many of you are confusing the role of Commish and the role of Simmer. While I commish (recruit, set storylines, etc) I don't sim (or only in emergencies). But we do allow a number of people to have the ability to do the live sim and schedule it ahead of time.

I can appreciate your stance on wanting to only be in a league with a separate league owner. I have people in ABCA who will only be in a league that I am the commish of (like you will only be in a league the Spencer runs, basically). I love the competition of being a GM and playing against 29-39 other people who are all trying to win games - much better than beating the CPU on NBA2k13, right?

Thanks for having an actual discussion with me about this. I'm not trying to take anyone from this league just to spread the word to former ABCA GMs who haven't heard about it yet. As I stated before, I hope BBS continues as long as you guys want it to.
