10. Cenk Akyol PG 27 6'6'' 200 B+ A- C+ A C C
Probably the biggest steal in the draft (pre-Acy) in this version of BBS so far, seriously wtf how does play find these dudes? One of the elite PGs in the league, likely probably the #1 or 2 PG in the league production wise. His offensive numbers plus his lack of turnovers is crazy, a little over 1TPG? Meh, ILBB is walking into a great situation, my eyes are on him to see if he can take this team to a title, definitely should have a shot, might need to load up and make a big move, but is there one to be made? I offered Drummond for Cenk and he turned it down. Also a pretty good defender with around 2 SPG. Stud. Integral part early in his career on play's title team.
9. Kevin Durant SF 26 6'9'' 215 B+ A C A- B- B
Initially had Durant a little higher, like fringe top 5. Still an elite wing, not disputing that. But an alarming trend has popped up. Averaged over 30 PPG in his first five seasons in the league, but has saw a dip, by around 4-5 PPG, over the past few years. As I've mentioned in earlier parts of this top 50, B- and above rebounding for a SF/SG is huge, and can really help a contending team get an extra rebounding edge, which is so important. Also handling is kinda meh...I mean you take it with the volume but 3 TPG for a non PG isn't great. Still ya, top 10 value, might deserve to be closer to top 5 but fukkit.
8. Anthony Davis PF 21 6'10'' 220 B+ C- D A B A
Will be top 5 next year, would almost put money on it. Would mean some guys get knocked out, but ya, he will be. Didn't do anything in the last TC but he doesn't have that far to go. < 1 TPG is flat out amazing. Could put up LMA/Austin type numbers in a season or two as no passing / high handles = >>>>> production. Looks to be on track to be an elite rebounder and a ~4 blocks per game type. Just not putting him higher until he gets his camps, which he will, as play knows he's a few camps away from being awe worthy. Will play keep him? Who knows, if he ever dealt him he could get a mega package.
7. LaMarcus Aldridge PF 29 6'11'' 240 A- C+ C- A- B C
So here sits LMA, just a few seasons ago Spencer remarked how he felt Aldridge's value was limited around the league due to his ratings....well he ended up having like a +3 TC and his ratings match his production. Davis will surpass him in value in a season or two, as Davis gets better and LMA passes the 30 mark, but jesus LMA is a fucking monster. 30 PPG, 11 RPG, and apparently he decided that he would start being a defensive beast and block over 3 shots a night. Near 50% FG, and a great FT shooter, perfect 1st option in an inside offense, and could probably still average great numbers if you went to balanced (although some despise the balanced O in FBB). Loved when I had Aldridge, sick player.
6. Derrick Rose PG 25 6'3'' 190 A- A- C+ B+ C C
Rose just misses the cut for the top 5, I may have put him over who is at #5, but meh what is up with his scoring this season? Dipped from around 30 to averaging around 22-23. Definitely think it will get back up, but ya kinda weird. A solid rebounding PG, defensive PG, and not a TO whore. Definitely good that he was able to get some TO worries that were present early in his career under control. Has the potential to just flat out shit on fools with his scoring, and I could easily see him taking over during a FBB playoff and having runs that led his team to titles. Would love Rose.
5. Andrew Bynum C 27 7'0'' 285 A- D+ C- A A- D
So here we are...the illustrious top 5. Bynum, part of probably one of the biggest lop-sided deals this version of BBS, is a stud, like really good, which is why I think he is a top 5-type big. Averaging near 4 1/2 blocks a night and also has developed into a stud rebounder over his career. Always near 48-50% FG in the past few seasons and decent enough from the line. Was involved at the time in a deal that was considered a rape, and really you could still say that Detroit got the better player in Durant, but bigs > wings. Although it is going to be interesting to see how many bigs vs wings vs PGs made the list, gonna list that at the end.
4. Kyle Lowry PG 28 6'0'' 175 B- A- B+ B+ C C
I think play recently mentioned that Lowry was the most underrated player in the league. Meh, maybe so because nobody really ever talks about him, but he is the best PG in the league IMO, hands down. 30+ PPG, < 2 TPG, > SPG? Sign me up, please. Perennial all league 1st teamer and MVP candidate, I don't know if there is a more perfect example of an elite PG than Lowry, actually better than elite, GOD-like PG numbers. Shame that don hasn't been able to get a title out of this group, kinda puzzling really. Might have 1-2 years left, but if he doesn't win it this year I would consider rebuilding. He should get an out of this world package for Lowry, and a great package for Pleis if he decides to. Damn, Lowry is sooooo good.
3. LeBron James SF 30 6'8'' 225 A A- A- A- B- D
The only player 30 years or older in the top 10, LeBron deserves it. As mentioned ad nauseam, love wings who are great rebounders. LeBron has consistently been a 30/8/1.5 type player. Shoots solid %s and a great FT shooter. What kinda package could he net? Who knows, I think 30+ aged players face some trepadation from mediocre-to bad GMs, as they're scared of possibly having to retool/their players losing value in a few seasons, but still with his productions and his ratings LeBron is a stud. Could flip Lowry and LeBron on the list and make a pretty convincing case, but absolute stud. Amazing that a player @ 3 doesn't even crack the top 2 players value wise at his position (if you consider MKG a SF/PF player).
2. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist PF 21 6'7'' 205 A- B- C A+ B+ A
Lord, help us all. MKG is a beast. Went from a guy as a rookie who you thought had a chance to be special (and averaging 12 PPG) to a legit 1st option player who is an absolutely amazing rebounder and stats defender. B+ rebounding player eligible at SF and a stud scorer? SWOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN. 2+ BPG, 1.5+ SPG? 50% FG, 90% FT? CHECK CHECK CHECK. The difference between #1 and #2 on this list is like splitting hairs, interchangable. MKG definitely has a case for #1 value. PF, SF, SG, Head Coach, Hot Dog Vendor, however you slice it MKG is a beast. Also damn at Beal over MKG in that draft, Bowie over MJ-esque.
1. Quincy Acy SF 24 6'7'' 233 B C+ D C+ B- B
Classic broph, MANIPULATING THE SYSTEM! Ratings wise, ya, Acy looks like a borderline top 150 player, but jesus is he a monster. Basically does everything MKG does, but a little better, sans rebounding. His FG% last year was fucking ridiculous, idk if I have ever seen that 56% for a 29 PPG? I mean....how? In FBB? Nahhh. Also those turnovers, 0.5 for a top option player, 2.5 BPG, near 2 SPG this season (around 1.5 last year), I mean...what the hell else is there to stay? Really splitting hairs like I said between Acy and MKG, so who deserves to be #1? Definitely considered putting Gilchrist here, but ya. If I'm aar I'm shitting bricks if he tests FA, would be a huge blow to lose Acy in FA.
