20. Blake Griffin PF 25 6'10'' 251 A D+ C A- A- B
Blake is a stud, has A inside, which only a few bigs in the league have. Also a great rebounder. Should be a 20/10/2 big for the majority of the rest of his career. Looks like his blocking has steadily increased. Spencer said he wished he busted, but ya, obviously he didn't. On a great rookie-max contract as well, can't really be considered top 15 value just because there are more elite players and other players that have more value cause they're younger. Still a stud big any GM would love to build around.
19. David Lee PF 31 6'9'' 249 B+ C B+ C A C
Once considered one of the top players in the league, Lee is still elite. Doesn't block shots but jesus who gives a shit when you can average 12-13 RPG, with rebounding being so important in FBB. Would be a shame if he never won a title, but he has a legit chance now and for the next few seasons on a team of CP3&MKG...along with solid support players in Curry/Beasy. You also have to love bigs that are great FT shooters, all around great player, what a stud!
18. Jonas Valanciunas C 22 6'11'' 240 A- C- C A- B- B
Obviously only going to have good things about any player from here on out, but Jonas is pretty stud. You might want those turnovers to be lower and rebounding to be better, but he is just 22. alldaygb will probably be shtting bricks if he tests FA, as he should, because he will be in high demand. Absolute elite shot blocker and his rebounding #s outperform its rating, if the Wizards every wanna go "all in" they might be able to deal him for a sick win now package, though that might not be a good idea.
17. Rajon Rondo PG 28 6'1'' 171 A- C+ B A- C D
Rajon is another stud, obviously. Great defensive PG, and also having a pretty good year all around in an inside offense for Memphis. Has hovered around 2 SPG for his career, but averaging around 2.5 for Memphis. Wonder what he could do as a first option? Rondo is also an elite rebounding PG, behind non-PGs allowed to play the position (Royce), and also a good enough FT shooter. Excellent PG to build a team around.
16. John Wall PG 23 6'4'' 196 B B A- A C B
Wall is sorta like Rondo, except younger and probably a better all around offensive player, great FT shooter, but really not anything special to talk about as a 3PT shooter. But with his age and production, you can't gnore his value. Really nice to see his improvement, as I had some concerns when I had him if he would ever develop into a PG due to his handling, but ya, he's got it under control enough to be considered an elite PG. Also a good rebounding PG and averages almost a BPG! Nice!
15. Damian Lillard PG 23 6'2'' 190 B- A B+ C C- B
As someone mentioned when he was traded, or somewhere idgaf about, Lillard looks like he could be the top scoring PG in the league if he continues development. Solid FT shooter, pretty good handles from someone who handles the # of shots he does, actually 2.1 TPG with the number of shots is pretty impressive and think it greatly helps his value. Defense is meh yeah, but not really a big deal, doesn't really steal but 1 SPG is decent. Might be the highest his stock will go, as if Wall/JV keep improving their all-around game, he could be a 20-25 type value player.
14. Isaiah Austin PF 21 7'1'' 225 B B- D+ B B+ A
Uhhh.. WTF? Austin went from averaging 15 PPG his rookie season to exploding for 30/11 so far in his sophomore campaign. He looks like another LMA in his prime, which yeah...LMA is a stud. Great FT shooter and can hit a 3PT shot if called upon. Also low passing so he will likely always be a great volume scorer. Thought about putting him top 10, but I think he needs to work on his handling a bit as well as get up over 2BPG to get there, but I think he will. From someone that was probably "honorable mention" if a top 50 was done last season to top 15 in the span of an offseason is impressive, what's the limit for this kid?
13. DeMarcus Cousins C 23 6'11'' 292 A- C D B+ B+ B
Meh wtf is up with Cousins's contract? How does Erbes get lucky enough to have Cousins ask for like 1/2 a rookie max, he must have let DMC #frost his face. Near 50% FG, solid FTs, good rebounder, solid defender. Pretty much your prototypical stud big, case he should be top 10, but sue me. Shit is getting pretty hard, difference between someone ranked 13 and 10 is like splitting hairs.
12. Cody Zeller C 21 7'0'' 240 B+ C- D A A- B
Yee! Another stud young big, Zeller was the story of the 2013 draft. His notes were pretty good, but nothing about him said star. Really the poster child for what could happen if you give a guy his camps early, +25 really helped his development, obviously. Low turnovers, solid blocks, good steals. Is this his peak value? I think so, he may creep up a little to some of the other bigs, not that it matters though, still sick.
11. Andre Drummond C 20 6'10'' 270 A D- D- B A A
SO ya. Role players, sucks. In all seriousness I struggled with where to place Drummond. Tried to be as objective as possible, but feel that as far as young bigs go I couldn't rank him above Davis, just because..well..look at Davis. AD was obviously supposed to be better and he probably will end up being better once play gets his camps, so ya, here he is. Elite rebounder, great shotblocker, can't hit the red side of a barn from the FT line though, and FG% needs some work as it is possible (well IT IS) that he struggles due to his inside being aided by athleticism. Looks like what many hoped Dwight Howard would END up being. D- handles but turnovers aren't an issue. ALso just 20 years old, entered the age at 18. Even if he does still have around 80 potential left, what else could he improve on? Not much, maybe get to B+ defense but ya, still think he's a stud and has a ton of value. Think this is a fair place to put him and a nice way to end this edition! SEE YOU FOR THE TOP 10!
