Beef pho for lunch yesterday! Woo! Love Vietnamese food. Can't wait for it to get a little colder so eat tons of pho. I can never eat the whole bowl. The medium is huge.

Had hibachi last night with the gf. Had a restaurant.com gift card. Filet mignon hibachi with extra fried rice. Also had some sushi. California roll, spicy tuna roll, and then one with California roll topped with spicy tuna.

This new-ish place near the office (only been open like a month) does awesome beef pho. So many places I've been to has the beef really tough and chewy but this place it's perfect. Really soft and not too sinewy or anything. It's awesome. Also love a good Viet baguette... Vietnamese food may be one of my favourite types of food. Love the combination of heat from the chili, saltiness from the soy sauce and fish sauce, sour from lime... mmm

First time I've ever had it and it was pretty decent. Gimmicky, but it was good food. There's a Benihana now near where I work in London lol... just next to St Paul's Cathedral.

For the meat it depends on what kind you get though. Traditional would have tripe and muscle and stuff. The gf just likes thinly sliced filet in hers. I will go for the flank and sliced filet. The places where we go serve it with hoisin, red chili sauce, then the assortment of stuff (basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapenos).

It is very gimmicky, but that is part of the charm. It isn't a bad deal to get filet, vegetables, fried rice (honestly the best fried rice I have ever had), miso soup and salad for like $19. The problem around where we live is that there isn't that many sushi places that I would trust. We have a lot of Korean and Vietnamese places, but not that many japanese besides the faux-japanese hibachi places.

Benihana is the best Japanese food cooked by Guatemalans in the world.

We've got a place called Fuji Grill that does hibachi. It's so amazingly awesome. Now I want it.

The places where we go serve it with hoisin, red chili sauce, then the assortment of stuff (basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, jalapenos). Yeah I have no problem with star anise. Used in a lot of Chinese cooking so I'm used to it. Of course regarding the meat it depends what cut you get... most the places I've been to that sell pho won't be using filet though for sure, too expensive. But this place near work that I was talking about makes whatever cut it is have the texture of good filet. For the price they sell it at though it can't be filet. Most places here will use topside I'm guessing. And yeah, dip in hoisin to be real tasty, and same, all the places you get it from here give youa bag of condiments to go with it to put in the soup when you get back to your desk... same stuff, beansprouts, coriander, fresh chilli, lime etc). It's so good. What ethnicity are you btw?

We were sat at a table with 3 other British people who were there on business lol. Was so random. Good Japanese places are hard to find for decent value. Gotta have a place with real fresh fish though. Just love sashimi but it's always so expensive everywhere.

Tiger to eat Japanese at fucking Benihana's in New York is like me going to London, looking for a burger, and ends up eating at McDonalds.

Will Clapton is too suave to be found at an establishment such as Benihana's.
