Yao isn't putting up the numbers of Andrew Bynum but if he was on a less talented team he would. Yao has been the top center in BBS for awhile now and shows no signs of slowing down.Yao has 2 titles and an impressive array of other achievements. He has made the All Star game every year he has played in BBS. He has been the MVP of the All Star game the League and the Playoffs. He is a stud and at 32 still young enough to build your team around.
2 Andrew Bynum C 25 7'0'' 285 B+ D+ C- A B+ D
2006 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2008 - All-Star Game Participant
2008 - All-Defensive Second Team
2009 - All-Defensive Second Team
2012 - All-Star Game Participant
Bynum is just hitting his stride. Forever though of as the other guy in the Kevin Durant trade Bynum has now proved to be as valuable if not more valuable then KD. Bynum is only 25 and is already the top statistical center in BBS and should be the #1 guy on this list for the next 5 years. His achievements arent great right now, but they should really start to increase over the next couple years. If he is continued to be used correctly he will have a Hall of Fame career.
3 Amare Stoudemire C 29 6'10'' 245 A D+ C- A- B D
2003 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2010 - All-Star Game Participant
2012 - All-Star Game Participant
Amare was just traded to New Orleans in a surprising deal. It will be interesting to see how he fairs in an offense not suited to him. Although its quite possible the Hornets will just slow the pace and throw it down in the block to Blake Griffin and Amare and kill teams inside. He has been hit and miss over his career but its pretty obvious he's peeking right now. An elite offensive talent Amare should be a top 5 scorer as long as he's a #1 option in an inside offense.
4 DeMarcus Cousins C 21 6'11'' 292 A- C D B+ B+ B[/b]
2010 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2010 - All-Rookie Team
Cousins is the up and comer. At 21 to be this high on this list is nasty. Erbes has chosen to have DMC as his franchise player and it will be interesting to see how long he can ride it out. The Indiana future picks are highly sought after because of the belief that Erbes will get bored in a 2 years and want to rebuild.
5 LaMarcus Aldridge C 27 6'11'' 240 B+ C+ C- B+ B- C
2006 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2006 - All-Rookie Team
2008 - All-Star Game Participant
2008 - All-League Second Team
2009 - All-Star Game Participant
2009 - All-League Second Team
2010 - All-Star Game Participant
2010 - All-League Second Team
2011 - All-Star Game Participant
2011 - All-League Third Team
2012 - All-Star Game Participant
LMA is a stud inside scorer. People thought his value was really low coming into the league. So much was said of his "crappy" ratings. Well he proved everyone wrong. He is an elite scorer that would probably be dominate if he was allowed to play at SF. At only 27 he already has an impressive array of league awards and should have more to come. Another example of a player shining when the offense is built around him. How much longer will he be in Portland? Who knows!
6 Marc Gasol C 27 7'1'' 265 B C C- A- B+ C
2007 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2007 - All-Rookie Second Team
2008 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
Gasol is a player that was underutilized in Milwaukee and is really shining in Phoenix. He can score and block shots a great combo. His achievements arent great, but now that hes on a better team and hes being used better his value should shoot up. I regret not making a deal for this guy when I had a chance.
7 Dwight Howard C 26 6'11'' 240 A- D D- A- A- B
2005 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2006 - All-Defensive Team
2007 - All-Defensive Second Team
2008 - All-Star Game Participant
2008 - All-League Third Team
2009 - All-Star Game Participant
2009 - All-League Third Team
2010 - All-Star Game Participant
Even at 7 this is a huge disappointment for D12. He was so highly sought after but he just hasn't lived up to expectations. I'm still wondering what I could've done to counteract the poor FT % and the TOs. He's definately developed into more then lots of people thought he would, and hes a very good BBS player. Hes just not that dominate inside force so many wished he would've been.
8 Anderson Varejao C 29 6'10'' 230 B- C- D A A- D
2004 - All-Rookie Team
2005 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2005 - Rookie Game MVP
Another unsung C that has a ton of value in my eyes. He can board and block and steal. He doesn't turn it over. All things I love. Cant ask for more then +3 in that very important SPG+BPG v TOPG stat. He should be on the move soon as Toronto is in no mans land and needs to rebuild soon. Id like this guy to team with LMA for sure.
9 Milan Macvan C 22 6'9'' 260 C+ A C- C B+ B
2011 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2011 - All-Rookie Second Team
One of the top young centers in the league. Very rare in his ability to shoot and block shots. If his positional defense was better he'd get more minutes and put up even better numbers. He can shoot over 70% from the field which is huge for a big man. Also love those blocks and lack of steals. Extremely valuable young big man.
10 Andrew Bogut C 27 7'0'' 245 C+ D+ D- B B+ D
2005 - All-Star Rookie Game Participant
2005 - All-Rookie Second Team
2010 - Defensive Player of the Year
2010 - All-Defensive Team
Could've made a case for Tibor Pleiss here but I really like Bogut. I love his rebounding and blocking ability. Very reasonable contract. When used in an outside offense his rebounding and blocks are perfect. Another guy Id love to have although Greeme values him like Yao.
