Historical Team Performance Rankings
Here is a look at the best and worst teams over the span of BBS5. I will use a weighted system to rank the performance of each team.
Here are the stats.
bbs56.net/BBSFive/historicalperformance.htm
For the weighted system I’ve decided to do this….
1 Regular season win = 1 point
1 Playoff appearance = 5 points
1 Playoff win = 3 points
1 Finals appearance = 25 points
1 BBS5 Championship = 50 points
So this system is obviously heavily favored towards Playoff success. Will hopefully do it again in like 5 seasons. Enjoy!

Rk/Team/Regular Season Points/Postseason Points/Total
1. Boston Celtics 463/441/904
DBW just went for it. He went out and got Shaq and TD and it paid off. Few teams have the guts to go all in at the beginning but it might be the easiest time to go for a dynasty type of situation. It will be interesting to see if Deebs can make this rebuild work.
2. Houston Rockets 434/420/854
Ilovebball really put together a solid team and kept them together until he got a title. The Yao/Pau combo was around awhile and finally got the job done. Sucks to see this GM go but Biggie has come in and done a solid job.
3. New Jersey Nets 465/346/811
Greeme finally has a title to put along his years of competing. Team is still very good, will be interesting to see how close he comes to repeating this year.
4. Phoenix Suns 455/309/764
Skillz always builds good teams if he has time. Rarely a tanker, Skillz likes to trade his future for his present. Lets see if he can continue to repeat after giving away Shawn Marion.
5. Detroit Pistons 437/254/691
Repole was dominant in the last version, now with less time he’s just very good. Surprised he hasn’t done more with KD tbh.
6. Orlando Magic 380/253/633
Play is once again one of the top GMs around. He has another solid young core and should be good again very soon.
7. Los Angeles Lakers 382/153/535
Nanz is another GM that always puts out winners. He is on the tank right now, so he will drop a bit soon but he has a great young nucleus already.
7. San Antonio Spurs 386/149/535
Shocked this team is this high. Tiger did a great job at the start of this league. Steve has a lot to prove and the start to this rebuild doesn’t look good.
9. Portland Trail Blazers 358/173/531
Outlawz started strong and then was inactive, J rebuilt and won a title. Pretty impressive job by both these guys. Hopefully I can string together some 50 win seasons.
10. Chicago Bulls 360/164/524
Ashes came in and made this team a title contender. Probably over traded for Kobe but it paid off.
11. Golden State Warriors 388/126/514
This team is 11th but probably always under achieved. Never really had a great team despite getting a #1 overall pick.
12. Sacramento Kings 413/98/511
Thank you David Lee! The surprising stud has put this team on his shoulders. Amazing player.
13. Minnesota Timberwolves 371/108/379
Game owned in the first couple years. Been down hill ever since.
14. Indiana Pacers 377/84/461
SMH Jeff. This team blows!
15. Utah Jazz 349/102/451
Game is doing a good job here too? WTF?
16. Cleveland Cavaliers 352/96/448
14 GMs have all done a mediocre job!
17. Atlanta Hawks 374/71/445
Don seems to have a solid squad and this team should rocket up this list soon.
17. Toronto Raptors 378/67/455
Less then mediocre. Not DJs style.
19. Miami Heat 355/76/431
This team seemed solid but they are rebuilding again. They’ll drop soon.
20. Seattle SuperSonics 354/67/421
We thought this team had been contracted when JAH was GM. Someone make them relevant.
21. Dallas Mavericks 346/72/418
Gregs latest team was great, but he had done literally nothing before that.
22. Los Angeles Clippers 354/50/404
Where GMs go to die. Horrible team thus far.
23. Milwaukee Bucks 368/32/400
Another team that was M.I.A. Replacing Jordan was the right thing to do. Hopefully new management makes a move.
24. Denver Nuggets 323/73/396
Brpoh set this team up well. Surprised the team isn’t better.
25. New Orleans Hornets 312/36/348
Aar is still scuffling. Hell turn it around soon though.
26. New York Knicks 286/42/328
Andys team is finally legit. Might be the best teams he’s built since like BBS2!
27. Washington Wizards 312/8/320
Horrible horrible squad. JAH again.
28. Memphis Grizzlies 287/18/305
Insane sucked this version. And he sucked twice.
29. Philadelphia 76ers 282/11/293
I remember when Habes was relevant. Long time ago.
