what do you want portland to do. where do they go from here? I don't see a ceiling higher than first/2nd round playoff fodder. what am I missing? they have a real nice starting four..and Hickson, and 13.5 in cap...so overpay a defensive big, who can rebound the shit out of the ball, Batum is looking like a future allstar, capable of 18 6 6 type numbers, and has the potential to be a great defender. Aldridge is not a true number one though, very good number two. Wes plays a nice roll as a defender, and can shoot, but I think would be better served coming off the bench as a sixth man type spark. Tank enough, try to keep your lotto, find a Center, and fill out the bench. The starting lineup is really good, the bench is complete horseshit this year (as in, worst bench production in 25 years or something like that) I think eventually Lillard could replace Aldridge as the #1, those two should be a pretty good pick and roll/pop combo for the future. I just think they need to find depth somewhere, because their bench aint gonna cut it in the playoffs |

I've never been a big Hickson fan but I have to admit he is at least an NBA player this year. didn't think that 8 months ago. I don't know about Portland. they have a worse version of Chris Bosh leading their team.

Hickson is a natural PF, dumb as shit, very poor defensively, but has figured out how to make the hustle plays..would make an outstanding backup on a really good team, but asking him to be a starter long term is iffy, only what, 24 though right? just been around forever

Aldridges play has really improved as of the last few weeks, but he is not a guy that can carry you to the playoffs (not in the West at least), remember when you saw him he was still adjusting to basically a new team and system

1 game, especially that game, not the kinda thing to judge him off of, he is good, not star player good, but you can run him as a number two guy. Or, if you put him against Dallas every game, well, the last two seasons at least, he'll kill you
