So I was thinking last night, since the league seems divided with providing or not providing draft notes and or answers to questions let's make it where you need to spend an RC(200 posts) or get deducted -50 posts from your total post count. I feel this way does two things 1)the people against giving out draft information will be ok with GMs no longer getting this information for free and 2) those for allowing draft notes and answers still having a way to get it.
So for example
let's say you want to "scout" a player and you want to use the -50 option. If your post count total is 1,200 it will be deducted to 1,150.
This does not mean once you get back to 1,200 you can use ANOTHER RC if you already used one at 1,200
I will allow a maximum of -150 to be deducted for a total of 3 scouts total. A scout will NOT consist of revealing any ratings or given any answers that will insinuate any specific ratings.
RCs will be infinite amount of times you want to use to scout a player, so you can scout players as long as you want.

interesting---but what would a "scout" entail?

same thing spencer does, just not "free" anymore
or we can keep everything the same and I may or may not do notes.

Eh, doesn't matter to me either way.
Even with good notes dudes still bust so dont know if it's even worth it.

Cool idea. I've always preferred no notes, or at least very vague notes.

This draft is tripping me out. Really hoping to stay in the top 2.

I think it's less necessary now with real players in the draft. When things turn fake, there's no way to tell the difference between a B inside guy with 100 jumping and one with 0 jumping.

I do agree with Reopole. Scouting will be necessary for fakes.
Not sure if it should require a deduction in posts/RCs tbh. I kinda liked the way Spencer was doing them in the last couple of drafts he did (notes with questions not concerning ratings/rankings)

Then again, a question about rankings is the reason why I drafted Ivey.....

What is the timetable on the scouting. Can I ask right before my pick? Trade Deadline? Playoffs?
It has to be better defined.

If we are going to do this where we eradicate the notes completley for everyone, there has to be a higher price to pay so everyone is on a level playing field. At -50, the guy picking number 1 is at a huge advantage lets say over the guy picking at number 10.
