Yes, the lotto was 5 days ago. Yes, probably cares anymore. But why not!?!?!!? My players suck and need upgrades. Without further ado....
2019 LOTTO GRADES:
1. Atlanta Hawks - Charlie Stoffer PG 6'8'' 210 19 B C+ C+ B C+ A -- --A+
Stoffer played an integral role in landing Atlanta Anthony Davis and Shabazz Muhammed. Donatello really took Play out back on that trade, which was nice and good. Stoffer look like he could be Purnell Jackson 2.0, which would be sick for Play as well. The only Franchise player in this draft.
2. Indiana Pacers - Tony McLin C 7'0'' 285 19 C+ D D+ B- B- A----C-
Yuck! Send lists, Pacers GM! I know McLin has that cool stipulation with his potential (note to Indiana: don't play him for his first 3 seasons to avoid injury!!) but he still sucks. Tons of raw bigs come in with 100 potential and do nothing (see, Mason Smith) and I don't see how McLin is different. Sure, he'll have 100 potential for a bunch of years but he has D mid range and doesn't do anything particularly well.
3. Philadelphia 76ers - Robert Beech SF 6'10'' 195 20 B C D C C A----A
Dude is gonna be a stud. Pissed he didn't fall to 4. The fact that he has D handles is huge, because it means he is gonna shoot a lot. Philly better camp him well and utilize him like a stud.
4. New Orleans Hornets - Rocky Dalessio PG 6'2'' 200 23 B+ C C C+ C C---F
A 23 yr old PG with turnover problems who was probably going to last till 13 and Skillz takes him at # 4, trading up to get him...WHAT WAS HE THINKING!?!?! Sometimes I ask myself the same thing! But that's why i'm writing this article. He's 85+ in inside, has 100 mid range, and low passing. He should be a stud at PG if i camp him.
5. Phoenix Suns - Sidney Jones SG 6'3'' 180 22 B+ C C C+ C B---F
A 22 yr old SG with mediocre potential who was probably going to last till 13 and Skillz takes him # 5 after reaching at # 4....WHAT WAS HE THINKING@?!?!? Sometimes I ask myself the same thing! But really, this was probably a good pick. Jones can play. Clearly has sky-high inside. And he shows C+ outside now so he should be a A- B- C B- C C guy who sims well pretty easily.
6. Utah Jazz - Martin Krause C 7'0'' 275 18 B- C D B- C+ B ---- A-
Confused why he showed B potential despite being 18 and his notes saying he had huge potential. Clearly looks like he is gonna be pretty good, but I feel like everyone gets wasted on GAME's teams.
7. Atlanta Hawks - Tobias Boudreau SG 6'3'' 210 20 C+ B+ C B C A---A+
Played a role in landing Atlanta AD and Bazz. Both. Somehow. Tobias has good ratings, but the fact that his notes were underwhelming was odd because i'd have thought he'd be a top 2 pick if his notes read like his ratings. But Donatello dooped Play, who has always been one to value ratings over production anyway.
8. Miami Heat - Hew Lenderyou SF 6'9'' 245 20 D+ A C C+ B A-----A
How does this dude score with volume with D+ inside? I don't understand. Guys with "C" inside struggle to get 12 ppg volume on good %'s. Weird. John through us for a loop here. Anyway, Hew looks pretty sick.
9. Sacramento Kings - Larry Kennedy SG 6'6'' 205 20 B- B C+ C+ C B----C
WHo is this dude? Didn't strike me as a top 10 player at all. Seems like he can contribute but i'd rather see the Kings try to reach for a potential star and take more of a risk with that team.
10. Miami Heat - Johnie McKeown PG 6'1'' 175 23 C B B+ C C- B----B+
Went about where he should have. To be honest, I thought his injury stipulation was a bit overrated--injuries have a negligible effect on seasons, all things considered. They probably fuck over a team once every 8 years? Hey, i'm due!
11. Utah Jazz - Aldabert Toppag PF 6'10'' 255 19 B C C C+ C ---- A-
Had a big TC. I looked at Toppag's notes and compared them to Kestersen's and they were virtually identical. Yet, Kestersen looks like a bust. Hmmmm. John, give us something!
12. Denver Nuggets - Terrance Russell SG 6'5'' 215 19 C+ C+ C+ B C A----A
Stud. Denver needed one. It was smart moving him to Pg for TC, so kudos to Jeff. Looks to be one of the best players in the draft if he continues to develop this way.
13. Seattle Supersonics - Matej Benda C 7'0'' 230 20 B- D+ C- B C+ B---A-
BIG first TC for Matej! Not a big fan of bigs who can't shoot, and may not be that strong, but he looks like a player and should be able to compete for quite a while. The Sonics really needed a big so this was a really solid pick for them.
14. Detroit Pistons - Justin Ratchford PG 6'0'' 200 22 C+ B A- C C C-----C-
WTF was this? I thought this dude would be a late 1st rounder, early 2nd. Yeah, he can handle a little and shoot from mid range? But no potential and passing as his trademark skill? I found this puzzling. He had a decent first TC but the pick made little sense so early before TC.
